A man watches his girlfriend get ready for a night out, telling her she looks wonderful. At the party, other people notice her too, but he's certain of his love. He struggles to say how much she means to him, then thanks her for being wonderful as they head to bed.

It's late in the evening. She's wondering what clothes to wear. Puts on her makeup. Brushes her long blonde hair. And then she asks me, Do I look alright? And I say, yes, you look wonderful tonight. We go to a party, everyone turns to see this beautiful lady walking up to me. And then she asks me if I feel all right, and I say yes, I feel wonderful tonight. I feel wonderful because I see the love that's in your eyes and the wonder of The worst part of it all is that you just can't realize how much I love you. It's time to go home now, and I've got an aching head. Leave her the car keys, and she puts me to bed. And then I tell her, as I turn out the light, I say, my darling, you were wonderful tonight. Oh, my darling, you were wonderful tonight.
