Short informational clip (YouTube Shorts) where a dermatologist describes four common ‘peaks’ of noticeable facial aging (approximately ages ~29–32, ~38–39, ~43–44, and ~60) and offers three practical recommendations to mitigate facial aging: strength training, adequate protein intake, and taking vitamin D with vitamin K2 (and calcium if needed). The tone is explanatory and reassuring rather than alarmist.

If you're not aging, you're dead. The point of this video is not to scare you of the aging process. It's to enlighten you of what's ahead, because social media is doing enough to scare us. The first peak that people notice is around 29 to 32, where over the course of six months, something shifts and you can't quite put your finger on it, but you do not look the same. Second peak happens around 38 to 39. And my story goes as follows. I was walking by the elevator and I saw my reflection in the mirror and I looked at myself and I said, well, are those jowls? It happened over a course of a month. Third peak, and this one now has been scientifically proven and shown 43 to 44. You wake up, you do not recognize yourself. In my practice, patients have told me this tale a million times and it happens. And the fourth peak happens at 60, where it same thing happens at 44. Something rapidly changes and you see drastic changes. However, at 60, hopefully we're more accepting, we're more at peace. It's not as dramatic, but it still happens. That being said, three things you can do to help yourself. Number one, regardless of how old you are, go to the gym and strength train. And I know you're going to be like you're a dermatologist. What are you talking about? Strength training builds muscle, and that will keep your face up, plus it will make your bones stronger, which will make the structure better and wider as you get older so it doesn't disintegrate as fast. Number two, make sure you are eating enough protein. Protein helps to feed muscle, and if you're not eating enough protein, that is going to take effect on your face as you get wiser in life. Number three, if you're going to take vitamin D, which most people need, if you're living in the Northern hemisphere, make sure to take it with vitamin K2 in addition to a calcium supplement.
