This is not acne. That is acne. This is known as Keratosis Pilaris, also known as chicken skin, and it usually affects the outer arms as well as your outer thighs. Keratosis pilaris is a disorder of your hair follicle opening where keratin is not falling off and shedding appropriately, leaving you with textured, bumpy skin. And although they're not symptomatic, scrubbing at them and really going hard and wrong is not going to get rid of them. So so avoid these, which are also known as loofahs, and instead look for ingredients like urea.
