In this YouTube segment, dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss explains why the neck, chest, and décolleté require dedicated skincare, noting its thinner skin, lack of structural support, and faster aging rate. She then presents her five favorite neck products in a rapid‑fire format: (1) Cetraben, an occlusive cream originally for eczema that provides a non‑greasy, paraffin‑based barrier for dry necks; (2) In Beauty Project Extreme Cream, a lightweight yet rich formula featuring a ceramide complex (NP, EOP, AP) to keep the neck supple; (3) Necessaire Neck Seal Serum, a peptide‑rich serum (five clinically proven peptides at 9% blend) that supports collagen production and is safe for pregnancy; (4) SkinMedica TNS Advanced Plus Serum, a premium dual‑chamber product combining patented fibroblast‑conditioned media growth factors, progerin‑blocking peptide (Progeline), proteasome‑targeting peptide (Pro‑Elixir 20), and botanical/marine extracts for comprehensive anti‑aging effects; and (5) Major Fade Disco Block SPF 50, a three‑in‑one sunscreen that offers broad‑spectrum UV protection, brightening (hexyl‑resorcinol comparable to 2% hydroquinone), barrier‑supporting ceramides, squalane, glycerin, and a fragrance‑free whipped tint that leaves no white cast. Dr. Idriss also highlights her own Dr. Idris line’s recent Allure Reader’s Choice Awards wins for a flash mask and the Disco Block sunscreen, encouraging viewers to vote. Throughout, she mixes educational explanations of ingredient mechanisms with practical usage tips and price points, while maintaining an engaging, conversational tone.

Welcome back little nerds to another YouTube this Saturday morning where today we're going to do something slightly different. We're going to go back in time and I'm going to recap in a faster format my top five favorite neck products. Because the necks are often overlooked, the face, neck and chest is a cosmetic unit that should be a continuum, but it's more often than not not a continuum. Neck is that part of your unit that ages 4 fastest. It has thinner skin, there's really no structural support and it has much less sebaceous glands so things can show up much faster on our necks. Hope you guys enjoy this newer, faster format. I'm really curious what you guys think and if you haven't subscribed, please feel free to subscribe and follow along below. Discovered this in the UK Cetraban Cetraban is a cream that was really used for people who have eczema and problematic skin. But I love cetraban for the the neck especially or if you're in a very dry climate and you want to lock things in. It is it comes in a pump, which I love, but it is a combination of white soft paraffin and light liquid paraffin which makes it much more elegant than Vaseline. It blends much easier on the surface of the skin and it doesn't give that greasy residual after effect of Vaseline. So if you're looking for something that can give your skin a little bit of bounce that has an emollient consistency to it while being occlusive, I love Cetraban. It's great. It's great for the neck, especially as you get creepier along the neck. She is one that you should use on your neck on a daily basis, especially if you're in a dry this one by In Beauty Project. It is their extreme cream for 48 bucks. Have a ceramide complex with ceramide, NP, EOP and AP in it. Then ceramides like we mentioned are going to keep our skin feeling soft and supple and nice and flexible. So it's really, really good for your neck and even your decollete. It is thick but still relatively fluffy so it's not going to sit down and just make you suffocated completely. It is much more lightweight than cetraben and it is oilier in terms of residue than cetraben which is interesting because cetraben is more of a tetralatum. Okay. Necessaire has a neck seal serum which is basically a peptide rich serum with five different clinically proven peptides at a 9% blend that helps to support your natural collagen production. You can use this on your face as well. You do not have to limit it just to your neck. I think it was very smart of them to create a neck product. But the neck product can be used for your face. And if you are pregnant you can definitely use. This is a very lightweight serum, kind of creamy. You can see how she just slides down my hand.
You are looking for something that combines and peptides with growth factors. And this one is a pricey product. Do not get me wrong, I know this is a pricey product. Skin Medica has their TNS Advanced plus serum. You see tester here because we actually have this in my office. So I brought it from my practice. It's an interesting product despite how expensive it is because again, if you cannot tolerate retinols on your neck, you're going to want to try to look for other things. Now growth factors and peptides are very different and this particular product contains both of them. So for $295 it's ste, but it has a little bit of both. It is made up of two chambers. So when you open this guy you're
going to see that it has two
different openings because inside you're going to have two different chambers. In chamber one, it's their TNS Mr. Chamber which contains human fibroblast condition media. And this is their patented growth factor formulation that helps to stimulate cell growth, proliferation, skin healing, etc to help with fine lines, wrinkles, tons of tone and texture. It also has two peptides. In this first chamber it has Progelene which blocks progerin. And I am butchering how I say these, please. I've never said things correctly, so do not judge me on that. But Progeline blocks progerin and that basically is what contributes to the signs of aging and skin aging Progerin does. So by blocking it, you're allowing your
skin to age slower.
It also has Pro Elixir 20 which targets the ubiquitin proteasome pathway to decrease protein damage. So age better. Now in the second chamber, it is known as the Renaissance Advanced chamber. And this one has botanical botanical extracts as well as marine extracts. Chlorella, which is a green microalgae and saccharide isomerate which is plant derived. Now the plant derived hold ons to water. The marine one helps to stimulate collagen and by inhibiting collagen breakdown. And it also has hydrolyzed lyin seed extract which stimulates epidermal thickening. So the combination of these two chambers in this one product is really like two products in one. So although it retails for $295, you
might almost want to think of it
as two separate products for $150 each. It doesn't make it cheaper. Trust me, I know it's very expensive. But again, this is one that patients come into my practice requesting and that is why I have it. Because the reviews from the patients have been stellar and people love this.
Looking for a sunscreen that doesn't feel like a chore. And you want something that blends se does not leave a white cast glows from the inside out while protecting your skin and giving you long lasting hydration without suffocating your skin. Major Fade Disco Block SPF 50 is your newest BFF. And when I say wear the damn sunscreen, this is what comes to mind. It is truly a three in one sunscreen. One like I mentioned that prevents future damage through SPF 50, one that fades existing discoloration. And we'll get into the ingredient story very shortly. And once one that gives you an instant glow and lasting hydration without suffocating your skin and truly leaving zero white cast behind. That is all I have on my face. And why disco block? Because disco is short for discoloration. Plus it gives you that disco like glow. Because sun protection doesn't have to be boring. It can be elegant and it could be fun. And you know what? You can look forward to actually using it. So let's break down the actual ingredients in this baby. Starting with the filters. They're all FDA approved, but for all of the little skeptics out there, they're also European Commission approved. These are not banned in Europe. So it is a balanced broad spectrum sunscreen. And the skin loving extras. There is hexyl resource Andol in this particular product which helps reduce the look of pigmentation, fight inflammation and reduce the look of discoloration brightening your skin. The raw ingredient study. It performs similar to 2% hydroquinone. It also has Squalane which is lightweight hydration. It has a ceramide complex which helps to protect your barrier. It also has glycerin and it comes in a beautiful lavender whipped tint which flatters all skin tones the texture. I will show you guys. It is whipped, it is cloud like, it is fragrance free and it literally stays where you apply it under or over makeup, you can really get two generous squeezes of sunscreens on your fingers equal to a quarter teaspoon. Not like the needle head. You can simply toss it open so that you can have a nice generous squeeze of sunscreen just like this.
There you have it.

One is for the flash mask, and it's in the category for best skin mask. And number two, our favorite, the major fade disco block, for best breakthrough skincare product.
