Now I do this at night. I apply the exfoliating acid, ideally something that is like glycolic acid or glucanolactone, that's going to hold on to moisture and smooth the surface of your lips. And then I lock that smoothness and hydration in with a nice thick occlusive like Weleda skin food. If you have cold sores, beware. Two, follow up with sunscreen in the morning. And three, if you're sensitive, don't use Weleda. It has essential oils and it will irritate you. Last talking about basting face basting. We cover this baby up with diaper rash cream because it is rich in zinc oxide and that's going to help minimize any inflammation while holding the hydration in. And you do this as the last step of your skincare routine. And you make sure to do it an hour before you go to bed.
