Foreign. There is no immediate skin tightening here. If I punched your face, you're going to have immediate skin tightening because of inflammation. And what we're seeing here is a CO2 laser. But the other red flag is no eye shields. Maybe they're there, maybe they're not. But you can go blind if your eyes are not protected adequately from this laser. I'm a board certified dermatologist and a CO2 laser. The point of it is to help even out your texture and fine lines or even acne scarring also of that sounds great, but Social is dangerously promoting this treatment for people in their 20s and even early 30s for their under eye fine lines. You can start looking weird if you overdo it. You can start looking waxy. You can even develop hypopigmentation, meaning you can lose the pigment underneath your eyes or worse, get hyperpigmentation, which is not where you want to be. Instead you can start with over the counter creams, things with retinols and even peptides to help promote collagen production, to help strengthen the tissue underneath your eyes. And if you want a treatment, go for micro needling instead.
