Dr. Shereene Idriss shows how autologous fat stem cells improved a patient's acne scars and pores after previous laser treatments failed. The procedure involves harvesting fat, extracting stem cells, injecting them into the skin, and microneedling. Seven weeks later, the patient's texture improved more than it had with Fraxel.

I'm just going to show you the power of your fat stem cells. This is her after. This was a patient who came in, was upset by her texture. She has had acne in the past. She was left with acne scarring, the look of enlarged pores, a lot of variation on her skin, and she wants to try to achieve smoother, firmer looking skin. She has had lasers done like Fraxel, but this was the best that she has ever gotten to. And so 7 weeks ago, we decided to take her fat, extract the stem cells, inject her skin, and apply it topically and microneedle and make sure she gets it from in, top, inside, above, all around. And yesterday she came back for a 7-week follow-up because I'm trying to get pictures at every week. And the reason it's in black and white, so you can see the texture. And this is her after. No lasers, just fat. I love it.
