I'm a 39 year old board certified dermatologist and I have a confession. I never wore sunscreen in my 20s. So why the hell am I being a hypocrite and telling all of you guys that you need to be wearing Sunscreen in your 20s? Because by the grace of God, I was locked up either in a library or the hospital and definitely away from the windows in my 20s and that basically saved my ass. But by the time I hit my 30s and I got pregnant, my melasma creeped in and my sun damage erupted and this is the only picture I allowed to have taken of me without any makeup. And it was really bad, really bad.
