Oh my God. Skincare Recommendations for Textured Skin I'm a board certified dermatologist. Let me help you get clearer looking more even toned skin. Here are my top recs if you have textured skin or comedonal acne Number one Textured skin is often due to oily skin and when you're oily it's going to clog inside your pores. Your pores are going to look bigger and you're going to develop whiteheads and blackheads if your skin cannot regenerate itself correctly. And that is why you need salicylic acid, this baby is a must in your skincare routine. It's an exfolia exfoliating acid that loves oil. So it's going to go deep into your pores to clear out that gunk. Number two Retinol. This is an OG must, especially if your skin is not turning over efficiently, meaning they're sticking together and clogging your pores, forming blackheads and whiteheads. But if you're already used to retinols, tretinoin is the way to go. This is the prescription active form so it's already working when you apply it to your skin. And last Benzoyl peroxide. Keep this baby in the shower and wash your face with it a couple of times a week to kill any unnecessary bacteria on your face that's contributing to your breakouts. As always, leave your questions below.
