Dermatologist Shereene Idriss walks through sunburn treatment: take a cold shower, pop an ibuprofen, slather on Vaseline. Skip alcohol for 48 hours, drink water with electrolytes, and stay out of the sun.

Take a cold shower, pop an Advil in to reduce inflammation, slather some basic-ass Vaseline all over your body so you can look like a roast chicken minus the roasting, make sure you avoid all and every single type of alcohol including margaritas, I'm sorry, for the next 48 hours, and drink a lot of water like your life depends on it, plus or minus electrolytes. And for the love of God, don't fly too close to the sun. Protect what your mama gave you.
