This is like saying nowadays I'm allergic to milk. Which milk? Almond, oat, soy? I don't even know anymore. But that's not your fault so let me help you out. I'm a board certified dermatologist and vitamin C is not created equal across the board. The active form of vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, aka the one that smells like hot dogs, aka the 5000$1 that comes in a brown dropper bottle. It's irritating and that one can irritate your face for sure because she's a crazy. But there are other types of vitamin Cs as well and those fall into the category of vitamin C esters and they are way too long for me to say in this video and I have a lisp so we're not going to go down that route. But my favorite type of vitamin C ester is known as Tetrahexyl decyl ascorbate also known as thd. And that one is the best one, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you're using an ester though, use it twice a day, not just once a day. And it's totally okay to use it at night with a retinol or even niacinamide or even copper peptides. Hope this helps.
