A product labeled 0.3% retinol might actually contain 0.01% active retinol. Encapsulated retinol like Hero One releases slower and causes less irritation, but the percentage on the bottle doesn't always tell you how strong it really is.

Is the keyword and the retinol blend doesn't mean that the retinol is at 0.75%. The retinol might be at 0.01%, which is less than this brand, or it might be at 0.1%, making it equal to the other brand, but it doesn't mean that it is at 0.75, and it doesn't mean that it's stronger. The only plus that I see with the Hero One is that the retinol is encapsulated, which I do like because it gives a gentle release and a sustained release over time. So it does lead to less irritation. But it might also be really weak, the same as the good molecules 1. So don't be fooled by percentages without understanding what you're reading.
