A short informal skincare tip by Shereene Idriss recommending Desitin (a zinc oxide cream) as an occlusive/moisturizing treatment for babies with eczema and for adults with a compromised skin barrier. The speaker warns that it should not be used as sunscreen and describes its rich, butter-like texture and noticeable moisturizing effect overnight.

Desitin cream, which is basically zinc oxide. Don't try to use it as a sunscreen. Is one of my favorite things to use on babies with eczema who have a broken skin barrier. Because that shit is like butter. You know, you put it on your. You put it on your face, even if you're an adult and your skin barrier is broken and you layer your face like a magnolia cupcake. And the next day you will be mwah. And your baby would be mwah even more than your baby usually is. You can try it on your baby if you have eczema.
