If you are a visionary who loves AI and technology, this episode is for you because I am going to break down my five takeaways from the Moonshot Conference I attended in Los Angeles with Peter Diamandis, Salim Ismail, Anousha Ansari, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. If you're ready, let's begin. Are you ready to shine?
Come on, it's the shiny one.
You got this, my dear shiny mind. You who is watching, may I invite? you to hit that subscribe button. This way, you and I are going to become partners in shine and elevate the consciousness in the world. Thank you so much in advance, and I'll see you inside. Welcome to the Shiny Minds Show with Dr. Shiny. I am Dr. Shiny Burcu Unsal, the proud creator of the Shiny Minds Show, my NeuroShine technology and award-winning curriculum to transform you inside out, teaching mindset tools, communication principles, leadership strategies, and certifying you as a coach so that you can go ahead and make your difference in the world. I am also an ICF Master Certified Coach who has done more than 3,000 hours of coaching, who has done more than 9,000 hours of teaching, as also a professor at UCLA since 2012. And yeah, I am a licensed trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming since 2011. I have been teaching Neuro-Linguistic programming, certifying practitioners and master practitioners, and creating my incredible graduates in more than 55 countries. I just came back from Los Angeles, California, which is my childhood city. I attended the Moonshot Conference by Peter Diamandis. How many of you know Peter Diamandis? Isn't he incredible? He is one of the top visionaries alive that I know, and I got to meet in person this time. And learn from his mates. He calls them mates, including Salim Ismail and so many others. We had an entire full day packed with knowledge learned from billionaires with a B, and we also talked about where AI is going in the world that we literally are expecting singularity. So I'm going to break down my 5 takeaways from attending the Moonshot Conference, starting with The very first one that I am absolutely passionate about. Number 1, you need to have a moonshot. What do I mean by that? Well, it was called the Moonshot Conference, right? Even I was explaining what a moonshot is to my mother. It means when you have a moonshot, you're literally shooting for the moon so that you can at least land on a star, right? You have this big vision, a big dream in your heart that you just can't wait to see it happen. In the world. That is the change you want to create, the legacy you want to leave behind, and the difference that you want to make in this world. How many of you have that? I know you do, right? That's why you're watching this. A moonshot is something that doesn't have to be big. If you are watching this, if you are a chiropractor, if you are a schoolteacher, you can still have your moonshot. Perhaps your moonshot is to live in a more ethical world. I'm right with you. Because it's the hardest thing, isn't it? Think about it. If you are a businessman, perhaps your moonshot is to create, to invent something that the world hasn't experienced yet, and you want to leave that as your legacy behind, right? I get you. Perhaps you are a parent and your moonshot is to raise the most incredible human beings on Earth. I honor you for that. Because that is your moonshot, and that is super honorable. And moonshot is something that only you have in your heart because that is special to you. That is unique to you. That makes you who you are. Think about all the moments that gave you goosebumps. That's how you will know if it is your moonshot, if it is your dream, if it is keeping you awake at night, if it is a major question. You're asking yourself here and there during the day, but it is almost unconscious. You hear it somewhere deep, but you don't necessarily talk about it. It is something that you had a vision about since you were a little girl or a little boy. You've had that. You just said that when people ask you, what do you want to do when you grow up? You had that in you. You talked about it, and perhaps you forgot or you put it on the side. That is what your moonshot— doesn't have to be big, doesn't have to be galactic as all these billionaires were talking about, because their moonshot is— I'll give you an example that just blew my mind— is to bring the mammoths back because they have the DNA, and then they can. Like, how mind-blowing is that? And they also said from the stage that within a few years, not even waiting for a full decade, We will be able to, as humanity, bring back any type of species back to life. We only need their DNA. Mic drop. Seriously, think about dinosaurs, mammoths. All of those things will come back to planet Earth. That's why in the world of AI and technology, you are now more equipped than ever before to bring back whatever you missed. Perhaps your grandmother's cookies, perhaps your grandfather's stories. Perhaps you miss them and you want them back, and now you can. You can literally sit in front of AI and you can put together something that never happened before, and then you can create it. Your moonshot is yours, and with the AI and today's technology, you can make it happen. What are you waiting for? Number 2, Think the unthinkable. Ask the question nobody dares to ask. Why is it important? Because obviously we live in a world that comes with a lot of conditioning from the past. We used to do things in a certain way, and there is this acknowledgement, this acceptance, and this almost like an expectation that we are going to keep doing everything the same way. That is not the truth. I can tell you, having attended such a high-level conference with high-value people, high thinkers, high-intelligent creators in the world, I can tell you that everything is changing. And I want you to ask yourself, what is a question that I want to ask for the world so that I can actually change something? And I'll give you some tips how to find that question. Number 1, whenever somebody does something that irritates you. Another specific example, let's say you value honesty so much, so whenever somebody lies to you, it just gets to you, right? That's what I'm talking about. So then perhaps a question you may ask for yourself is, what does it take for our humanity to be completely honest, absolutely 1000% Clarity, transparency, crystal clarity in our honesty. What does it take? Perhaps you want to ask that kind of a question, and then you can go do something about it. That is what thinking the unthinkable and then asking the unaskable— is that a thing? I think it is. Unaskable. That's how you can create a change, right? All of the thinkers ahead of us, like, look at Elon Musk. What is he doing? He just keeps asking the questions nobody dares to ask before. He goes And makes it happen. What are you waiting for? Number 3, pick your environment, the information, and attention intentionally. What do I mean by that? This is actually my #ShinyMind principle in my Neuroshine technology because I care so much about having a shiny mind. And that's also why I named myself Shiny, because I want to have a shiny mind. I want to have clarity in my thinking. I want to have my cosmic light shining through me. as electricity would in my neural circuitries so that I do have this neural pathway to follow, to make those neurons fire and wire together to become my best version. I want to have a shiny mind so that I can become the best version.
Why?
Because I also know from Hermetic principles that the universe is mental. Mentalism is the very first principle of Hermetic principles. And if you live in a mental universe, Then everything starts in the mind. I've, I've been saying that, and that's why I created Neuroshine technology. If everything is mental, if everything begins in the mind, we might as well just work with our mind and make it shine. Having a shiny mind means being very intentional about what you consume, not only the food— that's also included— but also Who you have in your environment, what type of people, what type of conversations you're allowing your mind to consume, what type of information are you allowing your neurons to consume when you scroll down? Are you okay to watch something scary? Are you allowing yourself to watch the news that are unnecessary? Are you allowing your attention to just go haphazardly without controlling it intentionally? What are you really doing with your mind? How are you in charge of your mind? Or if somebody else is in charge of your mind, those are the questions that you really want to sit down with yourself and all other parts of yourself and have a board meeting upstairs with other parts of you and have a conclusion, a decision that is going to say no more, no more negativity, no more going into those environments where I feel like I am. Being judged, when I am not honored, no longer. That's the end. That is the new era. No more excuses, no more distortions. You need to be able to do that because it is part of who you are. When you consume information, you're like an open-source computer, an AI. You are gathering information. This universe is information and energy flow. The definition of mind is actually information and energy flow. So no wonder the universe is mental, because what goes in the universe is also what goes in your mind. And that's why my third takeaway is exactly this. When I was in that environment at the XPRIZE Moonshot Conference with Peter Diamandis, I was in an environment where people were passionate about their moonshot. They wanted to meet others who can collaborate with. They wanted to get into conversations that are passionate, that are positive, that are expanding and magnifying and creative. Those were the people that I was allowing myself to hear from, to learn from, and to get inspired by. And no wonder my attention was only on what can I do. We didn't talk about problems. We didn't talk about What is out of our control. We only talked about what we are passionate about, a futuristic vision that we want to create, an optimistic future that we are all becoming a part of something greater than ourselves. And that's why when you're intentional about what you consume with your mind, including your environment, your information, and your attention, you are totally ahead of your game. So what are you waiting for? Number 4. Incentivize your vision for others to join you. What do I mean? I mean, you need to give people a reason to become a part of something bigger, something greater than themselves, so that it feels like a vision, a mission, an impact, a change that can only be co-created together. That is also something that I saw in that conference when Anousheh Ansari was on the stage as one of the most influential visionary females alive. When she was talking about taking the CEO of XPRIZE role, she was explaining what it meant to her and then how much it took from her. But still, it was actually the impact that she wanted to create. She was actually creating something bigger than herself, something bigger, big enough for a lot of others to become a part of. When Peter Diamandis was talking about why he ended up creating the XPRIZE and how he invited investors to join him when he made it bigger and greater than himself, something that is so big— that is why it's called the moonshot— it's so big that you actually solve a real problem in the world. He actually even created some evening sessions for all of us to go learn how to create an incentive system for the vision that you want to see in the world so that you can actually invite others to join you for that great vision that you want to see in the world. Incentive is something that human brain is already adjusted and conditioned to it because of the amygdala, the part of the brain that manages your fears and emotions. Your incentive is obviously starts with the survival, and then as you move up from the ladders and when you hit self-actualization, your incentive now is to become larger than life, to become someone bigger and more important, and someone who has a vision, who wants to create something, who wants to make a difference in the world, because then it is their legacy. It's not about them. It is something that they made for the world, for humanity. And that's why my 4th takeaway is for all of us. To create incentives for others to join us, and when I look at my academy of Neuroshine technology, that's exactly what I see. Because I look at my beautiful faculty, my incredibly golden-hearted human beings that I am so grateful to work with. I actually created an intensifying system for them to join me. I wanted. My vision to become something bigger than me. I believe in the world where we are absolutely so blown away for who we can become, and becoming is the name of the game that I am playing because it's literally the journey, the becoming in life. It's never the destination. Destination is We go back to light. That's that's what we know so far with the science and quantum physics behind everything, and that's why when I created my academy, when I incentivized joining my academy, also something that is meaningful, that is incentivizing and making others grow and have their financial freedom and abundance and their full. fulfillment with, then it really works. And I can say why in the Moonshot Conference I saw so many worldly names like Dan Martell, Neil deGrasse Tyson. You know Neil deGrasse Tyson, that physicist who always talks about quantum physics. And I was just thrilled to hear from him because the way that he approached The winning movie, it was literally how he would approach another physical theory. He literally asked the question on the stage to the filmmakers the same way he would approach to some very specific practical physical problems that he would talk about in his videos, especially to the winning guy. He asked these questions like, why did you not think about it before? And the answer was not up to what he wanted to Here as a standard. But one of the juries actually answered that for him. And then Neil deGrasse Tyson was like, oh, okay, now I am convinced. Like, he literally wanted to get convinced because that's how he rolls, right? He always thinks about something bigger than himself, and then he comes from that kind of a perspective. So it also just reminded me who you are is the same wherever you go, because how you do one thing is how you do everything. And I'm gonna now open a parenthesis and talk about Neil deGrasse Tyson because I am actually a big fan of his work, and especially as a big student of quantum physics and cosmology. I loved the way that he gave a speech at the end and the winning movie, The Gifted. It was absolutely heartwarming. It made me cry. The room was full of men.
Okay.
Perhaps it was only 15% women. So I'm not sure if all the men cried, but I did as a woman because it was touching my heart in a way that nothing else would. He used human emotions and put it together with AI. Gemini was also part of this prize with XPRIZE. They partnered together. Gemini was a sponsor. And then we watched 5 trailers from these incredible filmmakers. And the winning movie was called The Gifted. It just won $2.6 million to go make that movie. And that movie is all about humanity. That's all about emotions and motherhood and what we can do when we work for something greater than ourselves. And that's exactly what he did. He actually incentivized His three-minute movie trailer to invite others to become a part of that, and it was absolutely mind-blowing to become a part of that moment when he received the prize to go make that movie. Two point six million dollars, and in the happy hour reception, I actually went ahead and met him. Jeff synthesized Thomas. That's his name. He's brilliant. He's literally. a grounded gentleman, a very talented human being with a big heart. And that's the place, the environment that I want to be in, because those type of people, they inspire me to keep doing what I'm doing, to keep believing in a more optimistic, positive world where we all win when we focus on love, gratitude, and oneness. And that's why I'm inviting you to always think about your own moonshot, your own change that you want to see in the world, and make it so available for others to join you. Incentivize others to join you so that everybody can feel that they are part of something bigger than themselves. That's how we win the game of life. What are you waiting for? Number 5, love the tech and AI for more humanness in the world. That is my final takeaway I want to share with you because everything that we saw on that day on the stage, even Those 5 pitches that was actually made again by AI was all for the use of humanity. When we put our resources, our tools, our skills, and our heart for the betterment of humanity, game over. We win the game of life. And that is my main takeaway. I saw 5 pitches. On the stage. Business pitches. That was also a part of the day. Wasn't that super inspiring? We already watched 5 movie trailers that was made by AI, Gemini, as the main sponsor. And then we also watched 5 businesses that was made by AI. And the winner was somebody who took home $500,000 and his business was all about creating a 3D model that was flexible to be used in different ways so that it would save time, money, effort, energy, and it would just like give humanity more power. It was also super amazing to see others, what they were able to build with AI. They created businesses that are automated with AI.
Mm-hmm.
A business to create automated businesses from A to Z with documentations, filing. You know how you need to file your S corp, your C corp through LegalZoom? So they created something like LegalZoom, those 2 college grads. I love them as well. And there was another business that was made just for people to save on taxes. Definitely AI magic. I'm telling you, it was mind-blowing to see what opportunities are out there for all of us to create with artificial intelligence. We also had a ton of conversations about the security, obviously the safety of humanity moving with AI, especially with the latest incidents with the Hugging Face, the ChatGPT. We talked about it. And again, this specific conference was designed by optimistic visionaries who would absolutely go wholeheartedly and ethically. That's the key, because they are ethical human beings, because they do everything for humanity first. They wholeheartedly believe that artificial intelligence, actually not even artificial intelligence, artificial general intelligence, AGI as they name it, Superintelligence is what is going to take us to the next levels as humanity, and they all come from their childhood dreams with the StarTech and the Star Wars. And then they say, "Oh, finally we are living our childhood dreams, and we are at this time and in era where we can actually create anything that we want." Because guess what they said? Within less than three years. Before even 2030, the superintelligence is gonna happen. Even they mentioned 2027. Take my word for it. I got it. I heard it from the biggest top visionaries and futurists of our time, and they said superintelligence, artificial superintelligence, general intelligence is right here even as soon as 2027, which means Singularity is near. Singularity is also something where the quantum computers, artificial general intelligence, and technology all merge together, and then we experience a totally different world. This world is going bye-bye. I'm telling you, you really need to live in a new world, in a new mind. And that's why when you understand that all these tools, AI and technology, they are actually great tools for more humanness, for a better world, for a new world, for all of us to create anything that we can imagine, then you understand why these passionate, optimistic futurists and visionaries are all going crazy and galactic in my language to put their resources together, incentivize a better world, giving prizes and millions of dollars away to the businesses, to the filmmakers who are solving real problems. I'm getting goosebumps. And this is an environment I want to be a part of. Now I'm going to wrap up my 5 takeaways so that we can all wrap up this episode with our own action steps. Number 1, you need to have a moonshot, a change you want to see in the world. How about you become that change you want to see in the world? Number 2, think the unthinkable and ask the questions nobody dares to ask. That's how you're going to be able to bust the assumptions of the old world, and then you can become a part of this new world. Number 3, pick your environment, the information, and your attention— where your attention goes intentionally— so that you can actually be in charge of your own mind, like my Shiny Mind Principle of my Neuroshine technology, so that you can win the game of life. Because if the game of life, the universe, is all mental, then you need to start having that mental clarity, that mental shininess, cosmicness that I'm talking about with the Shiny Mind Principle. Number 4, Incentivize your vision, the future that you want to create, for others to join you so that they get to feel a part of something greater for themselves. Number 5, love the tech, the AI, all the tools, including your mindset tools, and I can help you with that with my Neuroshine technology. Use them all for more humanness in the new world, the new Earth, is calling for us. So for those of you who want to become a part of the new world, the new Earth, the new human, then I invite you to join us, to join me in my moonshot to help humanity to become more responsible, creative, conscious creators of their life. You can go to shinyunsal.com, grab that PDF, or you can go to neuroshinetech.com to see how we can work together so that we can become a part of something greater than ourselves. Thank you for watching. Until next time, keep shining your light.
