Dare to Dream Big (#FIREHOUR S4, E9)

In this episode of the FIRE Hour, hosts Sean and Crystal lead a high‑energy conversation about the essential role of leadership development within the Thrive community. Sean emphasizes the importance of observing each person’s gifts and positioning them in roles where they can excel, describing leadership as a continual cycle: success fuels leadership growth, which in turn drives more success. The hosts stress that without weekly leadership development, individuals hit a ceiling where their results outpace their leadership capacity. They advocate for unity, collaboration, and community‑based momentum, urging participants to form accountability partnerships, hold daily in‑person or virtual check‑ins, and maintain a proactive “defense moat” around their teams. Crystal adds a mindset component, recommending listeners replace negative mental loops with uplifting content to stay focused. Throughout, the dialogue repeats the mantra that showing up consistently—whether in calls, Zooms, or events—is the key to growth, and they close by promoting upcoming Thrive and Mingle gatherings and encouraging listeners to reach out, take action, and stay fired up.

Welcome back to Fire Hour.
I am really excited about this weekend. How many of you guys are coming this Friday? It's going to be in Orange County. Eleni and Tina did a Thrive and Mingle, and we're all coming together. And you guys know how it is when we come together, like, the energy is just unreal. Who's coming? I know a lot of you guys are. Oh, I know, Verge, you have FOMO. You're all the way in San Diego, but you also have your own Thrive and Mingle coming up soon, right? Like the end of this month. It looked like such a cool event. I'm still checking my schedule to see if I'd be able to make it, but it's super, super cool what you're doing. Okay. It's Sunday, March 24th at 8 a.m. Literally Rise and Thrive. That's Verge's event in San Diego. Um, and then we have an event in Orange County, and then we, I believe Bay Area also has an event as well this month. So 3 events this month in different areas, and then we see each other in New Orleans.
Yeah. Okay. So, um, I saw in the chat that bootcamp, 4K bootcamp, I remember that call. I just know that that was like one of the fire calls that he had. And when it comes specifically to direct, uh, to direct sales, to network marketing, uh, he specifically talks about, uh, the tee up to recruiting and how to expand your team. Oh, Angela shared that with Jackie. It was an aha moment. Yeah, the, the reason why that popped into my mind was because you shared it and then so it was in the chat and I, I remember that, that call because it reminded me of when I was like Building like crazy in network marketing because when it comes to like, when it comes to Thrive specifically, my first impression of Thrive was everything is based on the product, right? You expand your team.
Well, your first, actually your first impression was hell no. When I asked you.
Yeah, but it wasn't to Thrive, it was to network marketing.
You were blacked out too.
That was a different time. And so, yeah, I just, I remember, um, what was I saying?
You remember when you took a look at, uh, the business or the video?
No, I didn't even take a look at that. Thrive. I was looking at Thrive. I remember because I was observing and analyzing the team. And I was analyzing what you guys have already done and it's just, it was amazing, right? The accomplishments that you guys achieved when I first stepped in to take a look in 2020, it was amazing just to see that the 4K bootcamp training was not there. There was no such thing as that type of training and everything that everyone built, like you built, Jackie, Angela, all of you. You guys all built without that knowledge, right? It was ignorance on fire and having fun and enjoying and sharing what Thrive did for you. And everything was focused on the product. That's it. There was no focus. There was no heavy focus or intentional focus on recruiting. There was no intentional focus on expanding and building the team. It was always there through 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, but when it came to like heavily recruiting, going and pitching and reaching out and doing all these things, I didn't see any of that. So that was something that was very special to me because me coming from my background in network marketing, I learned the opposite. I learned that it was all about recruiting. It was never about the product. So the training and mentorship and knowledge that I got when I was in the industry, like full, like full blast was recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, and recruit. That was it. So that's something that's special about Thrive. So I just wanted to make that note, you know, when it comes to Thrive specifically, uh, I really believe that if you lean on the product and you just get people on Thrive, then you're going to be able to expand and grow your team, which means that you're going to grow in revenue. You're going to grow in size, you're going to grow in messaging, you're going to grow in everything. And to amplify that though, to pour fuel on the fire, right? The 4K Bootcamp. And the reason why I say that is because when you add recruiting and you add the skill set of closing deals, you add the skill set of sales, you add the skill set of marketing, you add the skill set of branding, you add the skill set of attraction marketing, you add the skill set of creating massive momentum and expanding and duplication through that momentum. That's when you start to see scale. That's when you see an explosion of growth. That's when you see your business going up, right? And it's not— it's never stagnant. It's never like just sustaining, or it's always either going down or up. There's no in between, right? That's the importance of momentum. So when it comes to like recruiting, Uh, that's something that I want to talk about.
Mm-hmm.
Because in, in recruiting, like there's an entire process to recruitment, but when you have momentum and you have social proof, you have people joining your team left and right, that's the time to really amplify all your efforts. And it's not just you, it's about you taprooting through your market. It's about you connecting and, and, uh, touching base, right? Touching and inspiring and moving that energy. Through the, through the, the team that you're onboarding. And then from there, when you're able to duplicate that, you teach other people throughout that taproot process so that way they can do exactly what you're doing. So for all the leaders that are on this call, and everyone is a leader here, if you're not taprooting, right, who knows what taprooting is? If you, if you're not taprooting, that means that you're not duplicating properly and you're not creating momentum through the efforts that you're doing. Does that make sense? So for example, well, let's, let's, let me just read this real quick. So Angela says, learn skills because you leverage more out of your intention. Instead of getting 1 out of 10, you will get 4 out of 10 just sharpening your skills. Yes, 100%. And that, that right there as leadership development, like skillset development, increasing your skills, the mastery of it is so crucial. As a leader because again, you know, when someone joins you and they get started with you, they're looking up to you whether you like it or not because you're, you already have experience that they don't have just yet, right? So in that process though, right? I talk about like the sands of time. The sands of time is a promoter's timeframe of seeing success versus quitting. And it's not, it's not quitting on you. It's quitting on themselves. It's quitting on their goals and dreams. It's quitting on their imagination. It's quitting on their inspiration. It's quitting on their motivation. That right there, you as the leader, it's so important. This is your responsibility as a leader. When someone gets started with you, you automatically know that there is something called the sands of time with every single person that gets started on your team. And that sands of time can be 24 hours, it can be 48 hours, It can be 3 months, it could be 12 months. You don't know. You just never know. It's out of your control. It's in the control of the person that got started with you. It's in the control of the member and promoter that decided to join you because they believe in you and they believe in the fact that you are the one to show them the way. Okay? And again, as a leader, you know, when it comes to volunteer army, Like this is a volunteer army, right? Network marketing is one of the, and this is the industry, it's one of the industries where no one's an employee. We're all our own boss. So when it comes to being your own boss, like you really are deciding on your own, at your own will to do this and to pursue this, right? To pursue your goals and dreams, to pursue a better future, to pursue a different chance, a different path in life. So, When it comes to, like, when it comes to the volunteer army aspect, right? And we could talk about that too. It's the same thing. It, it's, uh, Jim Rohn talks about like herding cats, right? And not to say people are cats, but the analogy is, you know, when you have 2 or 3 people that you're leading, you know, it's very challenging to start to, to lead people and direct people properly because you never know what someone's gonna do. But there's a proven way and a proven path towards duplication and towards being able to teach others and guide them properly so that way they actually get to the success that, that they want to get to. Okay. It's not about you getting to the success that they want, right? It's not about you driving the success that you want them to get. It's about you helping them get to their goals. Okay. That's all it is. So that's, that's why it's important to know, like, what goals does your, your team have?, right? The blueprint process, being able to onboard them properly and ensure that you understand where they're coming from. And again, this is going to be very challenging when you start to build a team because you're going to be onboarding people left and right every single day, right? That's the goal. And ideally you're onboarding like people, multiple people at the same time. So that's where group coaching comes into play. That's where group Zoom calls or in-person meets come into play. It's because you can talk to more people at the same time. And that creates energy, that creates energy through the group, that creates energy with the people that you're, you're onboarding, that you're helping. Again, like you as the leader, they're looking up to you. They're looking for your guidance, right? So, you know, there, there's many layers to this, but we're gonna focus in a little bit more on recruiting and the Taproot process because especially with ThrivePalooza around the corner and, you know, I think that we're barely getting warmed up in in this year, right? 2024, March, right? This is the first 90 days of the year is kind of like the warmup, like you're building the momentum, creating the momentum. Now the next one, right? 3, 6. So from March to June, right? This is the 90-day run. And when it comes to the 90-day run, this is where you pour all the fuel on the fire. This is where you focus all in on recruiting, expanding your team, obviously developing every single day as your leader, as a leader, your skill set, iron sharpening iron, like getting around other leaders who are actually like focused, right? And intentionally pouring their energy into it, into the business. So the next 90 days is heavily based on recruitment. And again, you know, when I saw the 4K bootcamp in the chat, I was like, oh, okay, this is probably the energy. This is like where the energy is at. Because it's true. Like you want to run from event to event. So Thrivepalooza is here. Lifestyle Getaway is next. Then there's going to be something else that's next. 90 days, 90 days, 90 days every quarter, right? That's the cycle. So in the— so for you just to measure, right? And if you have questions, drop it in the chat. But when it comes to you measuring your, your progress, right? A good measurement is how— well, not only how exhausted you might be if you're really running hard, but like your limits, you know, you know yourself, right? You know if you're running as hard as you can or if you're not. You know if you can stretch yourself more or not. You know if you're at the point where you need more support or not. Like, you know where you're at. The next thing is to voice it, is to communicate with your team, is to communicate with your leadership, your support team, is to communicate with the people that can help you get to the next step or give you some assistance and guidance on maybe slow down a little bit to speed up, or you can work smarter and not— and, and also harder though, always continue to work hard. But if you can work smart, apply the intentions, right? And then channel the energy towards what you want to do, then you can accomplish it. And, uh, another thing too, just to add onto this, so that way I'm, cuz I'm framing everything is, um, We, one thing that we touched up on like a long time ago, right? Fire Hour Season 1 was you wanna create like with your dream machine, you wanna turn this dream machine back on your mind, create your dreams, your imagination, like unleash your imagination, unlock it. Because when you do, you're gonna be able to manifest and create more change. You're gonna be able to be the cause that create, you're gonna be able to be the cause that creates the effect. And you're gonna be able to get the results that you want simply because you're focusing all your imagination and creativity into what you truly want to manifest, into what you truly want to bring forth into your reality, right? So this right here, this is part of the, one of the most crucial things in my opinion is turning your dream machine back on, is turning on the fact that, you know what, like whatever I want and whatever I can imagine, If I can see it, I can believe it, I can achieve it, right? I'm able to bring that into my reality. So when it comes to you manifesting this, when it comes to you bringing, changing your reality and bringing whatever you want, your dreams into your reality, like, have you even done a vision board, right? Have you even, have you even like written out and, and actually wrote out and visualized what you wanna see in your reality, right? I remember in 2013, Well, 2012 and then into 2013, every single day I was working at the San Diego Airport. And so all I would see, uh, literally all I would see is people going to the airport, getting their food, sitting down, looking outside of the window because there was huge glass windows from like floor to ceiling. And you just see the planes taking off into the sky, blue skies. It's San Diego, so it's beautiful. It's always amazing weather. And it's just, I just see planes going into the sky, see people coming in, people in suits, people casually dressed, whatever. And then going off and going wherever they want. And I would have a list of like flights. So I would see, gosh, I have it.
I have it somewhere. Why would you have a list of flights?
Because I needed to know when my customers were coming in. So it would be like the first flight would be like at 4 AM. So I'd have like 4 AM, like, I forget the places.
Is that a system that they set up there?
It was a system that we wrote down that we created. It was like, here's this flight. Like it was South, I remember I was working at like the Southwest Airlines, uh, terminal.
Oh yeah.
Yeah. And yeah, it would be like 4 AM, like 5 AM, 6 AM, 6:30 AM, 7 AM, like all the way down to like 10 AM or something like that.
So you would basically know when like people were coming and when to expect.
Yeah, and we had to be prepared because I was one of the leads for the team. So, and I climbed my way to be a leader, but I just remember that, I just remember for me, my internal feelings, right, was damn, like all these people are living their best life. Like I don't even know where they're going. I didn't know if they're going to work. I didn't know if they're going on vacation. I had no idea. All I knew was that I was stuck and they were going. I was stuck and they were moving. I was stuck and they're doing their thing. Right. And I'm just here to help give them some food and then to send them off with good vibes. That was my goal, you know? And so that was the one metric that I always met is as long as my customers meet me and they leave happy, then my goal has been accomplished. Right. That was, that was my, my job. But when I learned about network marketing, because someone, one of the customers pitched me, they literally gave me their business card and they said, if you're ever open, just contact me. And I'm still in connect. I'm still in contact with them today. Simply because I wanted to thank them. And I did. So isn't that crazy? And I have the screenshot too, uh, because that was sentimental to me, but they changed my life. Like it took one person who was courageous to recruit, right? To, to try and recruit me into the business to, for them to expand their business. They gave me a business card and when they gave me that business card, they didn't know what that business card meant to me. They just knew that this is an opportunity. This is a chance for me to build my business. On me, on the other side, that business card, I remember this business card when I received it. This was opening opportunity. This was, this meant life change to me. This business card symbolized life change. And guess what? My life did change. And the reason why it changed was because I said yes. The reason why it changed is because I took that card, that opportunity,. And at the moment in my life, I was open. I was open for change. I was in so much pain. I didn't want to stand behind the counter looking at everyone else flying to the sky. I didn't want to be stuck serving food forever and just making $8 an hour, the minimum wage at the time. You know, getting yelled at at my bosses, like, you know, having some disputes with coworkers at times, right? That was just the level that we were at. So for me, I knew deep down inside that I wanted something different, that I deserved a different life. I deserved a different path. I just didn't know how to get there. I didn't know what path to take. I didn't know what door to walk through. I didn't know who to ask. I had no mentorship. I had no peers that I can look up to, no role models that were on the same financial independent, like, or freedom lifestyle path. Change, any of that stuff, okay? There was none of that vocabulary even in my mind at the time. All I knew was I don't like my life. In fact, I hate it, and I want a different life, and I want to change it. Then guess what? And I remember too at the time, uh, I— because I just remember praying, okay? And it was heard, all right? So I'll say that. And then from there, it was a sign. Like, the sign was the card for me, okay? So I said yes. Boom. Life change literally happened after that because after that, yes, I went back to my brother and I talked to him. I told him like, you know what? Like, this is for our family. This is for our legacy. This is for our future. This is for change. This is for something different for our family, for our future, for our financial, for our family tree financially, right? This was all that. And so then he, he pitched me at the same time. He said, you know what, like, and this was like for him because it was his first time in network marketing too. It was in a different company. And he didn't want to tell me because he was scared. Because I'm the older brother, he looks up to me. There's, you know, there's biases as well. There's a bunch of different things, but he was scared to approach me because he didn't know if I was open. He didn't know if I was going to say no. He didn't know if I was going to get angry. He didn't know if I was going to be happy. He had no idea. And not only that, he had no training. He didn't have recruitment training. He didn't have leadership development yet. He didn't have mindset training. He didn't have skill sets. He didn't have sales. He didn't know how to close a deal. He didn't know how to open relationships. He didn't know how to get someone started, how to get someone onboarded. He didn't know any of this stuff. All he knew was that he had an opportunity in his hands and I just happened to come and say, I'm open, right? Angela says, this really got to me. I'll share here by Maria, Maria Dillard. Momentum is ignited by vision, activated by faith, supported by systems, sustained by grit. Use your imagination and apply. It's not the experienced, smart, or talented winning. You don't need to be smart. You just need to learn and put in the work. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
It, it starts with the vision, like what you were saying. Um, it's the vision. It's like, you You don't have to know it all. And a lot of us didn't know it all. Like in the beginning, we had no systems. We just had chats. Like we didn't know what we're doing. I didn't even know I was in a network marketing business until, I don't know, like 2 or 3 months in. And Jackie was like, you know, this is network marketing, right? And I was like, uh, no, but whatever.
Yeah, it doesn't matter, right? It's just, it's just the title of the industry, right? It's just the title of the industry that you're in. So Angela says you look so beautiful.
Thank you.
So, you know, like, that's so true though. It's the vision. It's the vision within everyone, right? For me, I had a vision of what I wanted for my family. My brother had a vision for what he wanted for his, for our family, right? We just happened to have two opportunities at the same time come in. Right? I called, that's, that's alignment right there. Right? So I decided to join my brother. And the reason why is because like, he's my brother, you know, I'm always going to support my family. So we got started and literally after that, our life completely changed. Right? My brother right now, he's, he's in a different state and he's building a company. That's huge. Right? That's huge. That from us being at minimum wage, right? He was working at Subway.
Okay.
He was working at Subway and he was working in a warehouse just doing like the whatever he was doing in the warehouse.
I don't know.
I don't know what he was doing. I forgot.
Warehouse things.
Yeah, it was just, it was a good job because it was higher pay than minimum wage at the time. But, but it was just like mundane work. Like it's just like you're a machine. Like here's what I do every single day. Same thing over and over and no growth. Right. And at the time there was no like, you can't listen to AirPods, you can't listen to like audiobooks, can't listen to any of that stuff. Like, unless you have a CD player, right?
You just have yourself.
Yeah. You literally have yourself. That's it.
Your coworkers.
Yeah. Yeah. Assembly line. Yes. Yes, Nico. That's what it is. Assembly line work. That's what he did. So he did Subway and then he did assembly line work, right? To make income. For me, I worked, um, what I was doing was I was a food cashier and I had to prep the food and make food and make coffee and stuff. And give it to people and watch them fly into the sky. So that's what I did. And then I did— I taught dance part-time on the side as well, and I would perform as well. So I did that stuff back then. But yeah, both of us, you know, we had a vision that was greater than our reality. Okay. We had a vision through imagination, through like understanding that we want something different. We want a different path. The reason why I share this, okay, the reason why I share this is because who in your life has expressed some type of different path, some type of vision, some type of imagination, some type of different reality, some type of life change, some type of lifestyle change that they want? Who has dreamed something and shared it with, with you, right? Who in your life is posting on social media expressing that they want something different or imagining that they have their dream machine on. They just don't know the path. Who in your life is someone that you can see as a potential partner, right? Not just someone that's going to join your team, but a, a partner, someone that you can actually learn from, look up to, inspire, create something different together, run with, run with. Yes, like, who is someone that off the top of your head is seeking change, is open to opportunity, is looking for a different way? Who is someone that is stuck in a job that they don't like, right? Who is someone that is stuck in a job that they do like, but they're limited to what they can do and they want more? There's so many different ways, but how do you know, right? How are you going to know if they're open? What did that lady do when I was at the cashier? What did she do? She gave me her business card, right? She decided to reach out. She decided to take a chance on change. It's the same thing with everyone here, right? When it comes to recruiting, there's so many different ways, but it, the beauty of having social media is that you can amplify, you can multiply your efforts, right? Back then when I was doing it is I was one-on-one, literally sitting at Starbucks and I'm not even kidding.
Making appointments.
Yeah. I would literally like the way that we had to do it. I don't advise this now, but it still works. Okay. But the thing is, is that like we got to change with the times. You got to be innovative and like adapt with what's happening now. Okay. Back, I'm going to tell you like how hard it was back then. Literally, I would have a list. I wrote down a list of 100 people. And I haven't talked to these people for years. Okay. I remember this is so embarrassing, but it's like, this is part of my growth, right? Who can say that they, they literally created a list of 100 people and actually called them? I did that. Okay. I did that work. I called every single one of the people on my list, getting the rejections. Like this was, this was our script. Like, hey name, this is your name. This is Sean. Hey, and I know it's been a long time, but super random, how are you? And then you talk to them and then the next thing would be after building the rapport, the next thing is, hey, you want to catch a cup of coffee at Starbucks? I have an opportunity I want to share with you. And then from there, they, whoever says yes, I meet with them literally at the Starbucks that I'm waiting at for hours. Okay. Because I'm calling, I'm dialing all these people. I'm calling everyone. I'm pitching them every single one of them. Right. The script. And then from there, I'm meeting the ones who are willing, that are willing. They don't even know what I'm talking about yet because it's not— we don't, we don't disclose that we're going to recruit. Right. But that was back then. And so literally it was just embarrassing. It was hard work. It was effort, you know, because this was the only shot that I had as well. Right. This is the only, this is the only opportunity that I know of. Right. And when it came to like, like talking to them, imagine getting rejected to your face. Imagine getting laughed at to your face. Imagine saying like, you know, like, like, why, why are you doing this? And like, they're asking you why you're doing this, right? They're like, who are you? Right? We come from the same place. Like, I'm, I have more money than you. Why are you trying to recruit me? What am I going to learn from you? Right? All these things. And I remember being laughed at. I remember like, and then I remember getting mad and getting angry. Because I'm like, I'm just doing this for my life. I'm doing this for a better, like, a chance for change. I'm doing this for my family. I'm doing this to pay bills. Like, I'm doing this for my better future, and you're here laughing in front of my face, sitting and laughing at me, right? That right there, that's part of the work, right? That's part of the grit. That's part of the resilience. That's part of, you know, like, taking on that heat and having that thick skin and going through it. So for you, like, I see Anna and Ariel, right? You guys both had to do this and it was rough, but it taught you character. It happened to you.
Lena, yep, been there in my 20s. I feel you. And here I am still trucking along.
Yes.
And that's persistence, right? Angela says, you know, the problem is no one knows what you are doing. They don't know what Thrive does. They don't know about your opportunities and they don't know how to start. Your audience is confused, not getting the right information. That's what I learned during my experience. If you are not talking about it, they aren't curious and they don't know what they don't know. Curiosity brings you leads. Having leads is everything. And yes, people are curious. They are wondering what you're doing, right? So if you're going to these locals, all of a sudden you have new friends, everyone's happy, you guys are doing things together. All of a sudden they start to see changes within you and they just see the only thing that changed was a new community and a couple products that you take, they're going to be like, well, what happened to that person? They used to be like this and now they're like that. So like, what's going on, right? But being able to properly display what you're doing, how you're taking things, or where you're going, who you're going with, that shows them that there's something happening. And you have to kind of guide them, right? Like, you're going to put out there what they're going to receive.
Yeah. And, you know, like, that's the beauty of social media, because back then I couldn't do that. Back then I couldn't talk about— I couldn't, like, post on social media and then talk about what I'm doing, or that I have an opportunity, or that I have something different in my life that's happening. I couldn't do any of that. All I could do was literally pick up the phone and call, like, and meet people in person, right? And one of the biggest recruits that I, that I had, right, one of the biggest team members that that started with me is one of my best friends. And because we ran into Starbucks randomly in person and I told him that, like, this, I got this, I got something for you, right? And then he had something for me. And then boom, we sat down for 12 hours at Starbucks and then he, he like asked me all the questions and then he got started. And then we built one of the biggest, at the time, one of the biggest teams in San Diego. Okay. And so that's what we did. Right. Or at least that's what they said we did. We had one of the biggest teams. I don't know if it was true or not.
I think it definitely builds character in person though.
Oh yeah.
Like getting rejected and laughed at in your face.
Yeah.
Like on the internet, like we can kind of hide, right? Like comments still hurt, but it's like getting it done in person because people are a lot more brave behind a screen than they are in person. So when someone actually does that in person, you're like, wow, like that's next level, right? But being able to get back up again because no matter what, like life is always going to throw obstacles at you. But it's like, how many times are you going to get up, right? Like, if you get pushed down 9 times, you better get up the 10th time, right? Like, it's going to happen. But like, how much resilience and persistence and grit do you have in you to keep getting up, right? Like, you don't have to be the smartest person. You don't have to know it all, but you have to be the person that is the most persistent in the vision that you have for yourself or for your family or for whatever reason. Like, you have to allow that reason to be so big that nothing even matters. Like, okay, great, I got last out, okay, great, next, next, next. You know, they're not ready. It's like, what is their level of development within themselves and what is your level of development? So you always have to be striving for better and like getting back up and being better, right? If you want something that you've never had before, you have to become someone you've never been before. And that takes time and persistence and getting back up over and over again, no matter how many times you feel defeated, right? Because too often I see people come in and they start sharing something, and this is something that they take, that they like, right? Like, if you went to a movie and someone was like, oh, what did you watch? Oh, I watched this movie. It was really good. And if they start laughing at you or saying, oh, I didn't— I, you know, after they watched it, they're like, oh, I didn't like it, or, oh, why would you watch that? Like, are you gonna be hurt about it? No, you're not. Like, it's like, okay, great. Everyone has opinions, and opinions are a dime a dozen, right?
Yeah.
So it's like, how strong is your vision for yourself and what you want? And why does anything else matter? Because people will always give you opinions. And the more negative opinions that you get, great. Keep building your character to be stronger to the point that one day it doesn't even affect you.
Yeah, exactly. Because, you know, like there's that quote, right? You never— you don't buy opinions because opinions are free. Right? So it's the same thing, you know, like it's all that whatever people are throwing at you, like regardless of, you know, what you're sharing with them or regardless of what you're posting on social media, regardless of anything, like there's always going to be haters out there. Right? But that's fine. That's human. All right. That's people. That's people for you. So you have to like learn how to not only tolerate people, but also live with it. Right? And not only like accept that, you know, that's the energy that they're putting out. But how do you transmute that energy to serve you? Like to, to, because you're, if you're receiving that energy, you should like do something with it at least, right? So at least that's my opinion. But I remember like being able to do that, you know, all those, those, those experiences that I had, whether they were positive or negative, I just knew that it was building towards my future. And guess what? You know, it did., right? All those, the work that was done before, it has shaped who I am today and it continues to shape who I am going to be in the future. But it's because of the experience that I had, right? So for you, it's like what Rodney says, right? You miss all the shots you don't take. So shoot your shot, right? That's fire because it's so true. Lena says, that's what my son's coach said. He just started playing ball and coach and just shoot, build your character. Build your confidence. Yes.
And the thing is, it's like, use that as ammunition, you know what I mean? Like, when people are saying things or like laughing or like whatever, talking behind your back, it comes around you, talking in front of your face, it doesn't matter. Like, take that and use it as ammunition of why you need to be successful. Because there's something that has always been said for a very long time, right? Throughout the years of being being in this business, and it's like there— people are just waiting for you to quit. Like, they're waiting for you to quit. They're waiting for you to stop. They're waiting for you to just, you know, not talk about it, not be about it, not take the product, not be around the community. They're just watching and waiting, right? So use that as your ammunition to be like, you think that I can't do this? You think that I won't do this? You think that I'm not going to take a chance on myself? I don't care what you say, right? I'm going to keep going and I'm going to keep I'm going to show you, right? And then once you show them, they're going to be like, oh my goodness, like it really blew up. Like you really did that thing. Like I didn't think that you would last. I didn't think that you were so passionate about that thing, right? Like prove people wrong because in the same instance that you're proving them wrong, you're also inspiring something within them that had died a long time ago, which is why they're so negative towards other people because they actually want to do what you are doing, but they gave up a long time ago because someone that they— that treated them like how they're treating you happened to them and they didn't get back up. So be that inspiration that they see and that they need. And don't take it personally that they're saying bad things about you or being negative. Take that as a chance to inspire someone who is all the way on the other side of believing in themselves again. Because if you can do it, they can do it too, right? And I'm sure some of you have this experience where people have come around and been like, you know, I used to say bad things about I used to say stuff like behind your back, but like really seeing you change and do all these things, it actually inspired me. And like, you know, they, they may even apologize to you because they're like, I'm inspired by you. Like you kept going regardless of everyone like trying to like push you down. And now like, I want to join you. Like, I want you to take me on that ride with you. Right. And so be that light, be that inspiration and think of it that way. Right.
Um, no, 100%. Like, that's— I agree with everything. And it's just so true because it's the dream machine, right? Some of those, like, whoever it is that you experience all that stuff, like, whether whatever their life experience was, you know, if their dream machine's not turned on, like, it's going to be pretty dull for them, right? Whatever light is in their eyes, like, I don't know, right? You just never know what someone's going through, right? That's why we never judge anyone. Like, never judge people behind— because you never know what's going on behind closed doors. Right. And also just never judge people because there's no need to, you know what I mean?
You don't have time to. Yeah. You don't have time to think about what they're doing. Yeah.
Really.
You're focused on yourself.
Yeah. 100%. So this, you know, like being able to go through these experiences, right? You're going to— the reason why I share it is because you're going to face it when you decide to start to create momentum. You're going to face it when you start to like get in contact with strangers. Because here's the thing, like, here's the power of social media now. The power of social media is you can get your message to the world, right? You don't know who's out there in the world who's going through some crazy stuff. You have no idea, right? All you know is that you have your dreams that you're going after. You have your message that you're sharing. You have a product and service with a company that you can rely on, like, to fulfill, right? You have an opportunity and a vehicle that can actually change someone's life if they're willing to say yes and to do it right, to do the work. So that this is the power of social media now. It's like how, like the question to ask yourself is, are you taking advantage of the tools that you have available to you? Because 90-day run, right? If you haven't, there's a difference between doing a 90-day run by yourself and there's a difference between doing a 90-day run with an entire team.
Huge.
There is a huge difference. What did you want to add to?
Yeah. So Madeline says, I learned this from Trent Shelton and he said, just because the path isn't perfect doesn't mean it doesn't have purpose. Just keep pushing on it because you know the purpose you are trying to serve. Yes.
Yeah.
So good.
Very true. Very, very true. Angela says also for my experience for social. It was never about how many followers you get. Yes, very, very true. You don't need to be so focused on a niche. If you're doing it right, putting yourself out there, they find you. That's key right there. They'll find you. Having the audience, but you can't engage or convert is where people have a hard time. That's when you can focus in on how to get better at that. Step by step, you get better. Yep, 100%. It's literally just, it's, uh, oh, did you want to say?
Nothing.
Oh. Uh, yeah, it's just taking action, learning, and then getting better and continuously improving. Yeah. Nico says, Crystal just went off right now. Oh yes, she did. Angela says, how can you touch and speak to your audience when they're engaged and relate? You want them to feel like, wow, me too. If she can, I can. Yes. If it is possible for me, it's possible for you. This part is what moves people and emotions, and emotions create our culture. Powerful. 100%.
Your stories, right? Everyone has a story. Everyone has a background. Everyone came from somewhere and they got out of it, or they're currently going through it. Like, find your people, you know, like, put yourself out there. And one thing I wanted to touch on when you were talking about the power of social media, like, back then you didn't have social media, so you literally had to make phone calls. How many of you guys, like, can imagine making phone calls right now? Like, sending out a text, making a phone call, talking to someone in person that you're about to meet up, right? Like, how long would that take? And I'm not saying don't do it. I'm not saying that at all. Like, it is very powerful to see someone and meet them in person because they can feel your energy and they can see how genuine you are and they can actually ask the questions or you can actually see like, you know, how they feel about it or not, right? Or if they're open. But it's like nowadays, if you post on a story or you post on a post, how many views or people are looking, right? Like you see your stories, like the time you spent to have met up one person, you could have just created a really authentic, genuine post and maybe 20 people saw it, maybe 30 people saw it, maybe 5 or 10 people saw it. But no matter what, you leveraged your time in a way where you were able to get seen in front of more people than just one, right? But doing belly to belly, there's nothing wrong with that. If you feel comfortable with that, that's how you like to do it until you feel more comfortable doing social, then do that, right? Just get moving and get going because you never know. In the beginning, when I first started, I did samples in person. I would literally drive out to people and drop off samples to them and walk them through the process. And then, you know, they were like, wow, you're really passionate about it. Like, they didn't, they didn't know until they saw me and how excited I was and how happy I was and how I really genuine— I genuinely wanted to see them feel good, right? And so they were like, okay, like, I'm going to take this. You are very passionate, like, you know what I mean? So there's nothing wrong with how you want to do it, what you feel comfortable with doing. Like, just get moving and do it. And when you want to start to leverage more of your time and you feel more comfortable, then put it on social and have more people view it, right? Because It's going to take— sometimes it takes time, sometimes it's instant, sometimes it takes time. But we're here for the long run. This is a long-term business. Is you working on yourself is like the greatest project you're ever going to work on. So how long is this going to take? Forever, I hope. I hope you always continue to work on yourself and shoot for another goal. And when you hit that goal, why stop? Why stop and settle? Go for the next one and you keep building your character and your resilience through the time and through going through each goal in your life, right? Like, that's what life is. You're always going to be improving or wanting more, wanting better, or just, you know, being around people that want that, that inspire you. Because sometimes we may have come from circles or groups of friends that they don't want growth. And that's okay if they're happy and they're healthy and they're great with where they're at, that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you want more, you need to surround yourself around other people that want more, because the 5 people you surround yourself with the most is the people you will become, right? Because your willpower can only push through the limits of the community or the people you surround yourself with for so long, right?
Yeah, it's going to be— it's an uphill battle. And that's just, that's just one of the facts, right? So in order for things to change, you have to change, right? If you are in one place and you want change, you gotta move to another place and then create the change, right? And get involved with the people that are changing because that right there, that's gonna help. That's the 20% that gets the 80% done. Angela says, oh, did we already read this?
Yes.
Okay. Sorry, we already read that. But yeah, when it, so when it comes to taprooting, okay, like taprooting, Like one of the ways with social media in, in, in mind now, okay, is if you share something on social media and someone gets started because of that post, that already is one way where you can teach them how to do the same thing by saying, hey, the same post that you, you found me from, or the same post that you saw that, that inspired you to take action to get started, like that's one of the things that you can do on social media. Automatically because they now, they see, they already went through the process themselves. So they have, they have their own personal experience through that process already, right? Of them getting curious, interested, excited to get started, to just take it in action, to reach out to you. And then from there, can't they do the same thing? Like, why can't they post the same thing that you posted? It might look different. The message might look different. The story might look different. Like the content might look different. The look of it might look different., but essentially it's the same thing, right? Because here's the thing, everyone who is building on social media now, who's, who has a personal brand, everyone's content is going to look different because it's your story. It's your unique story. So no matter what you post, right? If you post, if you post a quote, right? And then I post a quote and then someone else posts a quote, whoever's posting that quote, because of your personal brand, it might mean something to someone else. Does that make sense? It might mean something to someone else based on what they know about you or based on the story and assumptions that they have in their head about you, right? So in reality, when it comes to duplication, right, this is part of taprooting. When it comes to duplicating yourself, it's the same exact thing. It's like, yo, this is what I did. You can do a version of this if you want and post it. Why not? We're all in this together, right? We're working together as a team. We're going towards one vision, right? And the same— we're aligned in the same community, same company. So, and we're going after our goals and dreams, right? The collective thing that brings us all together, especially when it comes to, to going after and pursuing your goals and dreams, is that it's that you guys are looking for something different. You guys are creating a desired reality that you want. You're creating and manifesting it and attracting it into your life until it becomes reality. And you're doing it with people that are doing it, right? You're doing it with people that are looking for that and you're helping each other win. And when someone gets better and, and someone wins, you automatically will get inspired and want to win too. And it just continues to, to ripple effect like that. It continues to compound. And, and here's the beauty of when you actually do this right with a team, right? Because again, there's a, there, there's a difference between doing it by yourself, 90-day run. And then you just going after it. And then there's a difference between you doing it with a team, right? If your entire team does a 90-day run together, you can expect a different level. You can expect growth, you can expect expansion, you could expect momentum because you guys are all doing it together. So no matter what negative or energies come in, it doesn't matter because you guys are creating like a force field that of like change, a force field of positivity that will go and move through and penetrate all the noise. It'll penetrate through the barriers, it'll penetrate through everything else, and it'll actually accelerate the growth. It's going to accelerate the results. And that's just, I'm just, that's just facts. Okay. So if you have, if you have a team, there's like calls to action for two people. Okay. One person is, doesn't have a team at all. You are the momentum changer. You are the momentum creator. You must commit if you're willing. This for you, okay? You must commit to a 90-day run, right? And the way to do it is through with social media, right? Like line up your posts, like start to, and just have fun. Okay? That's the most important thing is to enjoy the process by having fun. Okay? Create, like, don't worry too much about like what you need to put and like all these things. Just, just like start posting. Get into the habit of, of action. And then from there, refine.
Yeah.
Get better and better and better, and you'll see what works. Okay. From a, uh, and that, that's for the person that is just by themselves. Okay. You are the momentum creator and everyone, whether you have a team or not, you are always the, the momentum creator. Okay. You're always the one that's going to create the momentum. Okay. It's up to you. It's up to you to do it. So you do that. And then the next person, The next person is the person who has a team already. Okay. Again, you are the one to lead the team. You're the one to lead the charge, lead the change. You are the one to create the momentum and, and recruit. Even though you already recruited people on your team, you are going to recruit again for a 90-day run. You're going to gather a group of people all together who want to do a 90-day run, and you guys are going to commit and you guys are going to go hard for 90 days. Whether it's wins, losses, and in between, everything in between, it doesn't matter. You're going to create that, set a date, a start date, a run date, and then from there, set an end date. Okay. And then do the 10 steps, right? Do the 10 steps for a 90-day run. Right. And that's like, maybe we should go on another call, but literally do the 10 steps of a 90-day run. And then from there, like, go all out. Right. And I'm going to just share, like, right now, like, the timing, the timing is perfect. Okay. Every day is perfect to do a 90-day run, but the timing is perfect now. But yeah, March 31st to June 29th can be a start of the 90-day run. It gives you enough time to prepare in these next 2 weeks. It does. For those of you who are ready to do it, like, just start, you know, because the 90-day run, it's always going. It's always 90-day, 90-day, 90-day, 90-day. Okay. Um, let's see, let me just read. Angela says, I really respect Crystal till this day. Yesterday I shared my aha moments. I named 5 top people that turned me on in this business. Crystal was number 1.
Wow, thank you.
She's a huge part of my story. Here's the thing though, you will, you will only absorb and apply only if the mentor speaks to you. Hmm. I looked up to her as a mom, not even Thrive-related. I'm still learning from her and Sean today. You're honestly never arrived. Learn from everyone. I take what I love and duplicate. Boom. I look at character. That's what I look for. Change who you compare yourself to if you want to change what you do. Fire. Yes. Alex Hormozi said that. Uh, Sonora says, yes, for uncomfortable things, I always tell myself, have fun with it, and it makes it so much easier. Yes. Yeah, literally, if you feel like you're nervous, like, turn that nervousness into excitement, right? That's a—
excited.
Yeah, it's a framework.
And that's the beauty of this community, right? Because Angela, I didn't meet you, like, it wasn't like we knew each other, right? It was Jackie. Like, Jackie was like, I'm gonna take you on this trip. And you were like, I do not leave my home without my husband. But you were like, you know what, I'm going to get uncomfortable and do things that I'm not used to doing just to see what can happen, right? It could go really good, it could go really bad. Who Who knows? But you were ready to take a chance on yourself and get outside of your comfort zone, right? And that is what is required of all of us. And I, we, like, I knew of Angela. I had seen her around here and there, but we weren't like friends. We, we, I don't even know if we've ever talked or maybe we said hi once if we got introduced somewhere and, and that's it, right? But you will find your people within this community. The person that brings you in may not be the person that inspires you, and that's okay because We're all different. Like, someone that I bring in, um, may not be inspired by me at all, right? So guess what I do? I bring them around the community. I bring them around people that they look up to, that they like, or that they would be friends with, or that they, they make a connection with, right? Because I am not for everyone, and everyone is not for me. So bring your friends around the community. Let them see that there's other people in this doing these things with you, right? And they will— we all will naturally find our people within the community, but if you don't bring them there, you don't show them that you're going out to these events and there's all these people that your, your social media friends have never seen, how will they know? There's no exposure. They just think it's just you, and, you know, they may not be inspired by you, and, and that's okay. So bring them around people that you think maybe they'll find their person here, maybe they'll like somebody else around here besides me, but I still brought them in, right? Um, do that.
Yeah. And like to that point, right? Just to add to that, because that's part of taprooting, right? Taprooting is basically, it starts with you. And when someone gets started with you, this, the sands of time activates. Okay. They have a, you have a time limit with them because you don't know their intention. You don't know if they're gonna quit. You don't know if they're serious about their goals and dreams. You don't know like what life circumstance they have. So the sands of time activate when someone gets started with you. Now, what is your job? What is your goal? What is the role that you have to play as a leader, as someone that is responsible for your business? Okay, everyone here is responsible for their business. Your goal, one of the goals and, and just action items for taprooting is who do they know? Who does this new person, this new, the person that got started, who do they know that wants to get started too? Okay? And you help them get them started, and then you work with this person. And while you're working through their network, while you're working taprooting through every single person, just touching, inspiring, and moving as fast as humanly possible before the sands of time goes away. Okay? You have to— this is part of taprooting. This is how you build a team very fast. Okay? Is you find the ones who are willing, you find the ones who are winning, you find the ones who are open, you find the ones who are ready for change, you find the ones who are going after the goals and dreams, right? And they're just waiting for opportunity. You find those people, and as you start to get people started in their network, you help them get started. You teach the person by showing them what you're doing. You teach them by being it, right? I posted this, this got this, this person started. Oh, you should post this too. All right, who, who do you know in your, in your network? Who is someone that you think would get started? Who's open? Who's interested? Who wants change? Who's, who's like talking about their goals and dreams? Who is someone that is fired up and inspired for their life, right? And then from there you talk to them, you get connected with them, you do the 3-way phone call, you do the 3-way DM, you do the 3-way whatever, and then you get in touch and taproot and you keep the fire going and you do this for 90 days straight. Okay? And not only are you doing it, but the person that got started with you, once you taproot one time, that they should know how to taproot. Okay? That's how duplication, successful duplication happens. They should know what you're doing. They should be able to duplicate what you're doing. It's literally just post, send link, get someone started, post, send link, get someone started, post, send link, get someone started. Same thing over and over again. And just with momentum, with, with all out massive action together. Okay? You don't, don't just do it by yourself. Help them. Okay? Help them. Like leave the door open for them, say, my hand's right here. If you want help, hold it and we'll run together. And then if they let go, you never— as a leader, you never let go. If the student, if the person that's following you lets go, the leader lets go. If the student comes back and says, I need a helping hand, the leader brings their hand back out and says, here, let me help you. Okay, so literally you do that over and over and over again every single day, 90 days hard. Whatever 90-day window you commit to, go hard, all out, massive action. If you're by yourself, you are the momentum creator. You create the momentum. And then as other people go on, don't stop. Don't stop your momentum. Pour even more, dig even deeper in yourself, dream even bigger, create even more imagination. Just turn on even harder, faster, stronger, smarter, everything. Okay, pour into it and go all in or all out in that. Okay, uh, Angela says Jackie is a great connector. She knows— I just came fired up— she knows who would go great together. That's, that's a skill set right there. Yes, visionaries are very patient. They take massive surrendered action because they know the long-term results. It's touch and go.
Boom boom.
Yes. I'm all over the place, but also very observant with people's gifts. I can see what value you bring, help them position people to do what they do best. That's what I do. I work with the masses. We all know what we bring. Yes. And that's part of leadership right there, right, Angela? It's like you as a leader, especially in the position, right? You know where to place people in the position that they're going to be best fit for so that way they can achieve the results. Okay, so that right there, there's a lot to leadership. There's a lot that, that's why with FIRE Hour leadership development, it's so crucial whether you have FIRE Hour or not, whatever you're doing, you have to make time every single week for leadership development because if you don't, you're going to eventually get to a point, you'll experience this yourself, okay? You'll get to a point of success that doesn't match your level of leadership and you have to raise your level of leadership to that success and surpass it so that way you can make, you can bring your success to the next level and it keeps on going like that. Okay. With more success brings more leadership development, and with more leadership development brings more success, and vice versa. It keeps on going like this, up and up and up, and there's never a downtime. It's always, you are on. If you're not growing, you are dying, and that's the truth. So continue to grow, commit to growth, continue to get better every single day, and commit to leadership development every single week, no matter what, no matter what it looks like. Okay? And don't do it by yourself. Do it with a community, do it with the team. Don't— like, if there is people out there who are going in the same direction as you, get together with them because we're gonna go through and create momentum together. That's how we're gonna win. Okay? Again, from the very first episode of 2024, right? A FIRE Hour Season 4. I talked about unity this year in 2024. It's about unity. It's about collaboration. It's about communication. It's about community. It's about going together to where you want to go. Okay, so that— take advantage of that energy. Like, use that energy. Help other people win. Help other people get their, their lifestyle. Help other people get their dreams. Go after it. You have an opportunity, you have a vehicle, you have a chance for change to give someone something different. All you're doing is introducing. If they run, if they work, if they take action, if they say yes, support them all the way through, right? But continue to do what you got to do. All right. So with that said, I love that.
I love it. I love what Angela said. She goes, if you stop self-development, you've let personal struggle in. And that's so true because if you're not working on something and that something is in positive to improve yourself, then what are you going to be dwelling on? Right. So sometimes if you feel like your mind is wandering off or going into that negative space, put something on, put something on that's going to inspire you, give you a skill set or help you. You don't need to listen to the thing between your ears, right? Like, put something else on that you know is going to help you get better until that thing that you put on is literally the only thing that goes on between your ears.
Yes. And to take it up a notch, right? Like, that's, that's part of accountability partners. Okay, that's why it's important to be surrounded with a team and talk to them. Actually talk to your team daily. Not, not in, just not in the chats. Okay. Like the chats is one thing, but a phone call, like actual in-person or over a Zoom or get-together. Like if you really want to create momentum and create a very powerful defensive moat around your team is do in-person stuff, is get-together if you can, is do a Zoom call. Do a phone call, like 10-minute phone call, 5-minute phone call, just every single day though, daily. It's like, hey, every single day at this time we're gonna hop on a Zoom call and we're just gonna get fired up, right? Answer all the questions, whatever, whatever it is, okay? Because again, the sands of time, okay, it doesn't matter if you're whatever rank it is, it doesn't matter where you're at in life, the sands of time are always active. You never know when someone's sands of time is going to run out. Okay, so you always want to continue the momentum and create, continue to be proactive in defense and also offense, right? In the, in the business strategies and the business tactics you have to do. It's, it's, this is so important. Again, when it comes to your business, it's either growing or it's dying. Okay. In leadership development, you're either growing or you're not getting better. Okay. You're being complacent. Whatever the case may be, you know what it is for you. Reach out if you need help. Reach out to your support team, reach out to the leadership, reach out to someone that you respect, reach out and get in touch. All right. Get in touch, get inspired and start to move. All right. You got this. Let's freaking make it happen. Have an amazing day.
See you guys Friday for whoever is coming this Friday, 6 p.m. Thank you, Eleni and Tina, for hosting the Thrive and Mingle in Orange County. If you don't know what it is and you want to be there, check with your sponsor, check in your group chats and ask.
Reach out, take action, show up. All right, show up. Success is about showing up. All right, show up. Thank you for everything. I'm always so fired up on your calls.
It's your energy.
Thank you. Thank you, team. Y'all are the best. Yes, Nico, you're right. We always have so many thoughts, but it's the ones that we want to think on and the ones that we want to let through that matter, right? It all starts with you. So we love you all. Have an amazing day. Crush it and dominate your path. We'll see you on the next time. Let's get it. Love you. Nice. Let's go.
