How to Boost Team Productivity and Grow Your Business (#FIREHOUR Exclusive)

Sean and Krystal break down Daniel Coyle's four pillars of talent development: ignition, deep practice, master coaching, and myelination. It's 6:05. Let's get started.
Yeah. Aki baed minneung people, are you here? Okay, so hi everyone. Um, I'm Krystal and this is Sean. And so I know that most of you probably already know who we are. Um, but I do see a lot of new faces, so I'm just going to make a little reintroduction. Um, so my name is Krystal and I have been with the company since I started Thriving back in 2018. So, um, and I hit that promoter button in November of 2018 and life has never been the same since. And I'm sure a lot of you guys have the same experience where life is just completely different now once you're Thriving and amongst Thrivers, right? Um, it's a whole new, it's like a whole new vibe. Um, and so how this actually, um, so what, who I am is I'm an entrepreneur, right? So I've been doing a lot of different businesses, um, throughout the years. Um, when I first started, I did not start for this business. Um, I had 4 businesses going for me, so a 5th one was not anywhere in the picture. Um, And so that's how I kind of got started, a little background about me, but this is my absolute passion. So as I started this, I just got so like, every day, like I woke up and I was thriving and I just could not stop thinking about it, right? Like it was always just like, thrive, thrive, thrive, right? Like everyone knew me as that Thrive Girl. And so I actually ended up dropping two businesses that I was not as passionate about just to be able to devote more time So I'm an entrepreneur and my boyfriend Sean, so he actually got started obviously because of me, right? Like most of us, like our significant others get started because of us. And how this Fire Hour started was actually by accident. Like I was just on, I was on a Zoom with literally like 3 or 4 people and we were just going over maybe an audiobook or something. And then I had my mechanic come over to my house because there was something wrong with my car. And he literally came during like, during like the Zoom, right? So I was like, "Hey, like you gotta take over. Like I gotta go outside and talk to my guy about my car." And so I just literally like pulled Sean on and I'm like, "Hey everyone, this is my boyfriend." And I literally just like left him like live on camera with girls. And he was just like, "Hi," you know? And so since then, I think that Zoom was about 3 or 4 people and it was, and then it would happen during the pandemic, right? And so we actually grew the Zoom to like over 200 people because everyone just started hopping on and it was an amazing time. Like we were literally all like in like the zone. Like there was no other life around us. It was just like all of us together just like every single day. It was like, what was it like every single day for like, I don't know, almost 90 days. It was freaking insane. And by the way, we were building our relationship at that time. We were still brand new. So like rain or shine, like we were on, there were times where like Like legit, like the night before we like got into it and I was like, "Oh, I gotta show up, like I gotta show up on camera the next day and I'm so pissed at you," you know? And there would be days where I'm like, "I'm not doing it, like you're going on." And I would make him go on and then I would just like pop on like after I was like, you know, like zenned out. And so, and then some days we would even like get into it like right, like 5 minutes before, so. Fun times. So he's also an entrepreneur and how I met him was through business. So the way we got started, this is just like a little reintroduction to those of you that may not know us or an intro to like those of you that don't know us, but like how we got started in our relationship was, you know, I was doing this business and I didn't really know anything about social media and you really don't have to know anything about social media, but I was like, I consulted an expert because I'm like, I just need to know a little bit more, you know? And so one of our friends connected us and it was just for business. Um, I wasn't looking for anything. Um, and it, it just spiraled into something more obviously. And then I was like, hey, you know, like, um, maybe you could like train my team or kind of like help them and stuff. So what he does is he's an entrepreneur and he basically scales businesses. He goes in, he sees like where the issues are. He helps with leadership and sales, marketing, and then scales businesses. Right. Um, so since we've been away, like, I think the last time we were on was over a year ago. Um, we've just, uh, we've been a bit busy, right? Like, life happens to all of us, but at the end of the day, like, this is still our community and we're— and everyone's— you always have a place to come back home to. Like, consider, like, Thrive your community, and like, this is your home where you are. You can go out and kind of like do your own thing, you know what I mean? Like, sometimes, like, you leave the fire right? But you— we are always going to be here, like, for you guys. So just always feel safe to be able to come back home to us, right? Um, and so since then, uh, we've, we've had a baby, right? Uh, she's almost 9 months old. Uh, we've had a baby and, uh, we acquired a business. We acquired an auto shop during the same month. Um, I, I wouldn't recommend having a baby and, and taking over a new business at the same time. Um, and then we co-founded a nonprofit So, uh, that's been happening and we've been raising funds. We are building a love tower over in Puerto Rico. So, um, I think that's it, right? Oh no, and then he started a media company.
So there's a lot of things basically, but yeah, we've just been busy.
But anyways, let's get to the training. Today we're gonna start getting into the training. And, um, how this started was I heard him talking about a book And I was like, oh my goodness, like, like I just stared at him like he was talking to a business owner. I was like, you know, we need that book right now, right? Like we have one month of Operation Winning and like we completely need that book. I'm like, you have to do this. I'm like, it's my birthday. Like that's going to be my birthday present. Like it's my birthday. So like he just couldn't deny me. So, so here we are. He lost his voice too. So we're gonna be doing this together.
Yes, uh, good morning everyone, welcome back to FIRE Hour. I apologize for losing my voice, I was turning up too hard yesterday, you know, with the baby and everything. So I'm excited to share today and go over the topic of The Talent Code. It's a book by an author named Daniel Coyle, and he basically talks about How can you find a group of people and become the best of the best in that group of people and cultivate that group of people to become excellent in anything that they do? And so we're going to talk about specifically how can you become the best of the best, just like Angela in Thrive. And so this is exactly how it happened. What's crazy is that with all your Zoom calls, this is the hot— this is the talent hotbed. I'm gonna give you guys the overview of the Talent Code, and I'm gonna also show you a visual. If you've never seen this before, I like to use whiteboards, I like to use visuals because it gives you an understanding, a different perspective of what you can relate the visual to and the teaching to, and that way you can learn faster. And this book talks about how can you speed up the learning curve, how can you cut the learning curve, get to the best of the best, refine and perfect your skillset, and then from there get the results that you want to achieve. And that's exactly what we're going to talk about today. And if we're— I'm going to do my best to keep this as short and as simple and direct as possible so that way you can get the best of the best. But it invokes participation. If you participate, you start to get engaged. And when you start to get engaged, you start to get— you start to fire those neurons. And we're going to talk about that in today's call, then the myelination process of your neurons, getting that refinement and that skill set perfected so that way it becomes instinctual, it becomes second nature, it becomes non-negotiable, it becomes a habit that you cannot break simply because you've already perfected and refined it and become the master of that skill. And so that's exactly what we're gonna talk about. Whatever goal you have to, you're looking to reach, whatever goal you're aspiring to bring into your reality, whatever goal you want to accomplish, today and also moving forward for the rest of 2023. You can do it 100%. You just have to understand how to milinate the process and then from there refine it in the fastest way possible. And then from there, take that skill and that mastery, bring it into this group right here, your community, your Thrive Team, whoever that is, whoever you influence, whoever you are connected with, whoever you want to associate with, whoever you want to bring up and amplify. Their goals and dreams. That's what you can do with this skill. That's what you can do with this knowledge. And that's why it's so important that we talk about that.
Yes, so important, so important. I, I literally like my jaw dropped open when he started talking about this. I was like, hello, it's Operation Winning. We have one more month.
Yeah, and you know what, this is actually the perfect time. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and it happens in the timing that is meant for you to receive it in. And so right now, I, I guess last week we were just walking around and we decided, like, we, like, randomly Crystal decided to walk into a new business that opened up and the business owner was there. And they literally just opened up, like a month open. They don't even have a— excuse me— they don't even have a sign on their business, the doors. And this, this person that we met They're a coach, they're involved in the community, they have kids. In particular, they have a son that they're— that he was talking to us about, and his son is in water polo, and he's like one of the best of the best, and he's only 14 years old, and he's aiming to become a national— like a national champion in the world. And that's what sparked this topic of the talent code, bringing this up. And that's why I was just sharing with him that, you know what, If your son wants to become the best of the best, you need to learn about the Talent Code to apply it to your son's life to ensure that he actually is getting master coaching. He's actually surrounding himself with a group and a community of people who are specifically focused on becoming the best of the best in that specific sport. It's the same thing in business. When it comes to your business, business is the ultimate sport. Simply because how much competition is out there in the world when you're in business. How much competition? How many— in Thrive specifically, even though you have your own team, how many other people are promoting Thrive, right? There is so much that's, that's bred through this entire community, through this ecosystem. And we're gonna even talk about how you can create your own ecosystem within your Thrive community.. And then from there, have that Thrive community start to even amplify and accelerate the Thrive process to get to the goals that you want to hit. We're not going to talk about ranks today. It doesn't matter. The basic understanding, the basic fundamentals, the basic essentials of being able to just get the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 mastered, non-negotiable, instinctual, the habit of doing it over and over again. And then from there, teaching someone else to master that. That's— it's all in there. It's all in The Talent Code. This is specifically related to this business right here. And so, yeah, let's just— let's go over it right now. Who's— has anyone read The Talent Code before or heard about it?
I've never heard about it.
And I want to engage participation again. You don't have to participate in the chat, but participate in your mind. Whatever we're speaking about, Have that conversation, that discussion within your mind, within your head. Talk to yourself. Being able— and then not only that, we're going to talk about how you can engage your community and your team too, because that's where the magic starts to happen when it comes to the Talent Code. Okay, that's perfect. So that's perfect. I encourage everyone, we're not going to go dive deep into the Talent Code book. That's why there's audios. That's why there is the tools that you can just Google, etc., right? But we're going to talk about just the nitty-gritty of what you need to know and what you can apply today, right away. Speed, unlock that speed, go faster, get to your goals faster, right? So, and I'm going to also push Crystal outside of her comfort zone today. She didn't even know this at all. And it's just funny because Crystal has never heard about the book. And guess what she did? Leaders, this is what leaders do. Leaders hear something and they're like, you know what, boom, take action. That's it. Just decide to do it. Oh, is this for me? Can I learn something from it? Can this open my mind? Can this improve my situation? Can this help me reach my goals faster? Can this help me make more impact faster? Can this amplify my message to the people I want to reach? Right, that's what a leader does. A leader asks them these questions, and then from there they decide on the spot, or they take their time because they have a framework already in mind. They think through to think big and then take action fast. That's what a leader does. And so when it came to Crystal hearing about this Talent Code book, what did she do? She immediately got the audiobook and then from there started the audiobook and started to listen.. And so guess what? She had— she didn't get to the point where it talks about how to refine and how to improve and accelerate the learning curve, how to cut the learning curve. And that's what I'm going to push her through today, live for everyone here.
Yes. I think it's better because I was listening to the audiobook and I was like, like, can you just, can you just break it down for me? Because sometimes you guys can listen to an audio, but it's like, what are you going to get from it? Like, you don't know, you know what I mean? So I was like, can you just break it down? Can you give me bullet points? Can you tell me the most important points? Break it down and then just like send me off, right?
And I said no. Why? I said no because if you don't do the work for yourself, how do you know it has merit? If you don't experience the work, the study, the knowledge base, the research, the development, if you haven't done the work for yourself, How would you know that experience is real?
So now we're doing it now.
Yeah, exactly. All right, so, but I want to, I want to give— actually, yeah, so let me, let me just ask you a question real quick. Based on, you know, what you've read so far in the book or what you've learned, you know, like what, what do you think is your takeaway? What do you get from that? And how can you share that with everyone?
So basically from what I've heard from the book is that you'll see a lot of group of people just come together and they just become the number one at anything and everything that they do. And so there were a lot of studies done and basically those studies were showing like, okay, so what skill set do they have? Like if they're athletes, is there a certain type of body that they have? Is there a certain way that they grew up? Because there was studies done like of these hotbeds, like how come like Brazil, for example, like turns out like the best soccer players in the world, right? Like there was different hotbeds and I was like, oh my goodness, like that is with us. Like that is our group. That is our team. Like we literally are a hotbed. And so when I was like, well, why, why are we a hotbed? Like what was the studies that they did to be able to understand what creates a hotbed and how it continues to become a hotbed? Like, what skill sets do these people have? Where do they come from? What's their background, right? Because so many of us, like, there's literally hundreds of us on the team scattered all over the US and, you know, dripped into a few countries, yet we all come together and like, we are really hot, you guys. Like, I don't know if you know, but like, we are like, we're really talked about in the company, you know what I mean? So like, this book basically broke down like what's been happening that I had no idea about, but I was like, oh, this is what's been happening. Yeah, so that's mostly what I got from, from the book, from the audio.
Okay, that's perfect. And so we're gonna— I'm gonna do some visuals right now. If you're driving, I don't know if anyone's driving at this time or if they're on, but that's good. I, you know, like, I'm happy that wherever you're at— I call it Drive Time University. That's what my mentors told me. Like, you can— if you're driving to work and you're on the Zoom calls, the power hours, etc., it's called Drive Time University. You're turning Someone's driving. You're turning your car into a mobile classroom, right? That's why there's podcasting, there's audios, there's all these things. So, and you know what, like, I'm gonna have this recording too, so for people who are driving, like, you'll see the visual later on, and I encourage you to just listen to the book, but according to Crystal, it's kind of boring. So, okay, I'm gonna just draw a visual. This is the talent code in a nutshell, and this is what's important to know. And I'm gonna talk about how Crystal is actually doing something called deep practice right now. Okay, so I'm gonna go over here. Yeah, so the talent code, it starts with admission. The reason why I mentioned Angela earlier is because— well, let me ask you a question. Who doesn't know Angela, right? Type in the chat if you don't know Angela, okay? Angela is this right here, okay? Shout out to you. There's something called ignition, okay? Ignition is the belief. It's about belief. It's about knowing that someone was able to do something that you thought was impossible, yet they did it. They proved it. They brought it into reality. They manifested it through their actions, right? Through the energy, etc. So Ignition is the first thing. And this right here, ignition— can everyone see that? Ignition is the starting point. It's the initiation. It's the, oh wow, like, that's real. There's someone named Roger Bannister. I forget the year, but at the time of him, before he did this, no one believed that a 4-minute mile could be run. No one believed that. And so guess what? This one guy named Roger Bannister, he goes out there, he's racing, and guess what he does? He breaks the 4-minute mile, the first person to ever do it. And then people start to hear this news that this guy named Roger Bannister broke the 4-minute mile. So guess what happened? It sparked and ignited a movement of people around the entire world Who broke the 4-minute mile record. And then from there, now they're breaking like, they're, I don't know if they're breaking 3 minutes or not, but the 4-minute mile has that belief, that limiting belief was broken because someone, one person broke that limiting belief. They proved to existence, they proved to humanity, they proved to people that it was possible. And so when it comes to running so hard, to just deciding to achieve your goals, with Thrive, to achieve your goals with your business, to achieve your goals for your family, for yourself, for your friend, for the people that you love and care about. When it comes to achieving your goals, whatever that is, there is someone in your, in your community, literally right by your side, that has achieved a goal that you might have, right? And that's the ignition, that's the belief. Not only that, Jackie as well. How many people there? Can you just like, there's so many people, right? And I love that, right? If she can, we can. Thank you, Rodney. If she can, we can. That's 100% true. That's the ignition right there. It was the belief. The next thing, I made this too big. The next thing right here, okay, is, well, I'm going to go to the end, the talent, okay? The talent, the thing that you want to go after. Yeah, it's good. It's good.
Okay.
Okay, and so this right here is what we're trying to achieve. This right here is what you want to refine and master, because once you master this, then guess what? Now all the goals and dreams that you have, you just break them down because now you have this framework. Okay, there's something called this part right here, it's called deep practice, deep work. Okay, I'm just gonna put deep work. Actually, I'm gonna put deep practice. Okay, deep practice is what I was putting Crystal through. I was encouraging her to do, because the— in Thrive, true or not true, if you don't put your face on and you don't speak to other people, will you not grow your business? So I'll make it more simple. Will you grow your business, your Thrive business, if if you are not speaking to other people? Is the answer yes or no? Too true. The answer is no. Exactly. You're not going to grow your business if you're not talking to other people, right? If you're not promoting on social media, you're not going to grow, you're not going to expand your business. It's because you're not reaching more people. As simple as that. So when it comes to deep practice for power hours, for Zoom calls, etc., We're speaking. We're actively practicing the skill of speaking, of public speech, of communication, of articulation, of growing your mindset, of personal development, of personal mastery, right? And then teaching to other people and connecting the bridges, helping each other level up. That's what we're doing right here on these Power Hours. We're building our community by communicating together. This right here, that's the deep practice. When I had Crystal just share what she just learned like 2 days ago, that's her putting in the deep practice. Like, okay, I gotta bridge the information I just received, it's brand new, and I need to articulate it properly so that way everyone can understand and receive that message, right? That's the deep practice. I encourage everyone who speaks on these Zoom calls to do this, to practice your skillset of processing the knowledge and information you have into clarity, crystal clear clarity for yourself, to then give direction through your speech, through your words, so that way you can ignite and inspire action, right? That's what you want to do here. That's one thing you want to do as a leader. And everyone here is a leader. I believe that 100%. Everyone here is a leader of your life. And not only that, you're always going to be in the position of if you're the follower or the leader. And everyone, you never know who's watching you. You never know who's observing. You never know who is inspiring, who's getting inspired by you. You just never know. And I can, I can guarantee that sooner than later, one day, if this has not happened to you yet, one day someone will come to you and say, you know what, you just said this one thing, this one sentence, you said this one phrase, this one word, you just said something, your energy I received it, and now my life has completely changed. That's what you can do just by being you. That's what you can do just by taking action for yourself, by believing in yourself, by doing the deep practice, that deep work to achieve your goals and dreams, whatever that may be. It's up to you to make it happen. And by you doing what you love to do by you pursuing what you want to pursue, just by you doing you, you can inspire someone. And that's amazing. That's magic right there. So that's right here, the deep practice. Okay, now in order to get the talent though, in order to get the talent, there's two things that need to happen. The first one is to have a master coach, and this is all from the book. Okay, a master coach is someone— a master coach is someone that will tell it to you straight. They're gonna give it to you direct. They're gonna— they're not going to sugarcoat things. They're gonna just tell you, you know what, like, this is what you want, this is your goal, let me just observe what you're doing. Okay, let me give you that feedback. Direct, simple feedback. Okay, on that one thing. That's it. So for example, when it comes to promoting yourself on social media, when it comes to sharing your message about Thrive, when it comes to sharing your idea, whatever that is, on social media, you want to hold yourself accountable to a master coach. You want to hold yourself accountable to someone who's gonna give you the direct feedback that you need so you can improve your talent, so you can, you can improve your skill set, so that way you can reach your goals and dreams, whatever that may be. So guess what? Who is that master coach for you? If you look inside your Thrive community right now, who is that master coach that you want to hold yourself accountable to so that way you can achieve your goals and dreams, so that way you can get better, so that way you can improve, refine yourself? To perfection, whatever that may look like for you. That's the next thing that you need. And then the last one is the process. The process— they talk about this in the book— the process of myelination. There's a bunch of different neurons in the brain that they— I'm not a neuroscientist, I don't know anything about this stuff, I'm just talking about from the book, all right? So they talk about how neurons make up the brain and that Every single time you do something, an action, like for example, I'm writing right now, right? A, B, C, D, right? I'm writing. The action, just writing those, those letters, it's myelinating the neurons in the brain. And what that means to me in simple terms is it's like this, this quote. So I'm going to ask you guys a question. Practice makes perfect, right? Does practice make perfect? That's the question.
Yes, yes.
Does practice make perfect?
Yes.
The answer is no. That's right, Crystal's just joking around. All right, so the answer is no. Okay, yeah, practice makes progress. There is one word that you need to put— if I encourage you to put in front of that phrase, practice makes perfect, it's Perfect practice makes perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. And the reason why that is, based on this book, is because every single time you do something, an action, you are myelinating that process. You are literally putting layers and layers and layers and forming a chain, a habit. A habit so strong that that's what you're gonna get. So for example, if I do this— can everyone hear me still? Test, test, test.
Can you guys hear?
Yeah. Okay, perfect.
Okay. All right, so that makes a lot of sense. Perfect practice makes perfect because you could keep doing the wrong thing and it's not gonna turn out right no matter how many times you do the wrong thing.
Exactly, yeah, because if you practice something— okay, let's say for example, I had a dream about this for some reason when I was talking about— when I was like deciding on what type of example to give everyone, and I guess I'm gonna do it now. But I practiced karate, martial arts, for 12 years. I started at the age of 4 and I stopped at like 14 because I found another passion called breaking. Breakdancing, okay? And so when it came to just refinement of myelination, right, in karate, one of the foundational principles that they teach is called— it's a form, but it's also in the punch, right? So I'm just going to give you an example in this punch.
Oh, you got away.
So when it comes to just punching in general, in karate, this is what they teach, that you have to have your arms like back like this, and your elbows have to be like tucked in, otherwise there's no power, and you got to be tight. And from there, not only that, but when you punch, instead of just punching anywhere randomly, you have to pick a center. Like you can pick the stomach, you can pick the chin, you can pick the head, you can pick the groin, all these things, right? What we had to do is if they told us to only focus on punching at the stomach level, we had to make sure that we look in the mirror and then we look at the stomach area and pick that in our mind. In our eyesight. And then from there, we would put our— we'll line up our fist, and we have to do everything properly, perfect. We have to have perfect form because why? We do thousands of punches. And guess what? According to this, this study right here, every single time I did a punch, if I did it incorrectly, I was myelinating. I was creating the wrong circuit. I was creating the wrong habit. That's basically what it is. And so after doing all these punches, I probably did tens of thousands of punches just to the stomach, right, from age 4 to age 12, punching like this. I could do this in my sleep and still hit the same area, the same target.
Why?
It's because, it's because the myelination. Being able to practice with perfect, perfect practice all the time, okay. That's why. So when it comes to your business, whatever it is, when it comes to you promoting yourself on social media, when it comes to you speaking on Zoom calls, when it comes to you whatever, doing whatever it is, perfect practice makes perfect. Practicing with perfection, doing it over and over again, that's what's going to make it a habit. There's a quote They say the chains of habit are too light to be felt until they're too strong to be broken. That basically means that once you've been doing something for so long that it becomes a habit and it's a bad habit, it's going to be very difficult to change that habit. Why? It's because you myelinated, you put the, the wrong skill sets together, you perfected the wrong skill set. That's what this whole entire topic is about, right? This whole book. And so when it comes to like your Thrive Business, that's what's happening right here. You're always— you're building that skill set, your habit, through that practice, through that deep work. Okay, that's what's happening right here in the deep practice, in this center. So the belief is right here. The first step is belief, knowing and believing that someone did the thing that you want to do. Having a master coach, holding yourself accountable to someone that's going to tell you directly, give you direct feedback so that way you can improve and refine and master whatever it is that you're practicing. Knowing the goal and skill set that you want to achieve, right? The talent right here. And then doing the, doing the work, the deep practice, doing it perfectly. Every single time. And now let me tell you something, because I don't want everyone to get to, to receive this wrong message of I gotta be perfect, okay? You are perfect the way you are already, okay? So don't worry about having to be like, having to like get stuck in paralysis of analysis because of perfection. Don't get stuck in that. The way that you're gonna get to perfect is by repeatedly doing it, but getting that feedback and pushing yourself out of that comfort zone right here. The deep practice is right here where you're out of your comfort zone. You're still— you're, you're like, I kind of know how to do it and I kind of don't, but I'm gonna do it anyways. And I'm gonna have my master coach, I'm gonna have my accountability partner watch me do it and give me feedback. And then from there, it's going to humble me so that way I can learn and refine and get better and achieve my goals. So that's what this whole entire Talent Code book is about. And now guess what? When it comes to this community, this business right here, the amazing part about the Talent Code and why you can, you can use this right away today, right after this call, is because true or not true, you have a Telegram group with your entire team in it. True or not true that you are connected with a master coach? That could be anybody in the team, in the community, right? Whoever you vibe with the most, whoever you're comfortable or uncomfortable with, right? There's so many ways to apply this right away today. Now, who's the leader that's going to take action and do it? Right? Who's that person that's going to start that movement, to start that accountability process, to start igniting your goals and your dreams today at a different level, at the next level? Play at it. I encourage and invite you all to play at that next level, to play at a different level. Yeah, and there's— there— yeah, for the greens, there's so many— they go deep into like the analytics and the data of all that. And so that's why I encourage you to listen to the book if you really want to learn about that. It's going to be great. I love that. That's amazing right there. So this right here, if you want to— is if you want to put this into action right away, then you just gotta communicate that to who you want to take action with. It's that simple, right? That's the direction. Okay, so is there anything you want to talk about on this?
I want to say, I want to like focus on the chats, you know, because, um, the thing is like your hotbed is also besides power hours, like maybe not everyone can make it on, right? Like, um, but your hotbed is the chats. And what I've noticed, um, after so many years and after being in like hundreds of chats, like the most active chat is the Hotspot because everyone is growing. Yeah, everyone is growing. Like everyone's, they're asking questions, they're commenting, they're giving feedback, they're screenshotting their scripts. They're like, hey, this person asked this, I don't know what to say. You don't need to know everything, and that's the beauty of this business. Like you are learning and earning at the same time. So don't be shy to use those chats. Don't be shy to screenshot and be like, I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know what to say. Can you guys help me? Can you give me feedback? This is a little bit about the person I'm talking to. This is what they're looking for. What should I recommend? So what, what I remembered was when we were growing and we were growing at a very rapid pace, we had our hotbed and our hotbed was literally our chat. It was like every single day, like from the moment you wake up till the moment you go to bed, 7 days a week. And you don't have to do this if you don't want to, but if your goal is to succeed and to be somewhere you've never been, or at least just get out of your comfort zone and become this new version of yourself, right? Growing and glowing. Like, it happens in the chats. Like, there's a lot of communication, a lot of conversation, a lot of back and forth. So don't be shy to use those chats. Like, everyone here is still learning. Like, I'm still learning. I didn't even know about this book, you know what I mean? So like, don't be shy. Like, we're all going to make mistakes. Like it, for example, if you go to the gym, like you can't just go one day and be like, it was hard, I didn't get it, I didn't understand, like I quit, right? So that is what like these chats are. They are like your gym. Like this is your gym. And if you want to get to a goal, how often do you need to be in there? Pretty much every single day if you want to, right? So that's like one of the hotbeds that like I was like, oh yeah, that's like the, that's like the the chats.
Exactly, yeah. And just to give clarity, like, or more context on the hotbed, in the book they call, they call it hotbeds. So hotbeds are places around the entire world where they find a community of specific focus-driven people that are achieving a goal or dream, whatever that is. So for example, like, they, for example, in sports, sports all around the world, they have specific hotbeds, specific communities, specific places where they see a group of communities thriving, and that's found all over the world because they were able to produce and grow talent. And that's what she's talking about, that's the hotbed. And so one of the hotbeds in Thrive is the chat. Another hotbed in Thrive is Thrivepalooza. Another hotbed in Thrive is Lifestyle Getaway, right? There is so many different hotbeds in your Thrive business already. And it's just about, are you using like the most of it? Are you getting the most out of that hotbed? Are you recognizing what is around you already, right? So that's what, um, that's what the chat is, you know. That's something that is really important.
I think that that's where the community is, that's where the culture is.
Exactly. Yeah, Angela started a Diamonds chat to teach people skills and next level. 59 people that wants to grow. Wow, that's good. Yeah, that right there is a hotbed. That's literally an example of a hotbed, is a specific focused community to reach one goal, right? Level up your skills and get to that next level. Boom, that's right there, right? So if you want it, reach out. Nice. Okay, sorry. Okay. So that's Talent Code. I think we're done with Talent Code. Can we move on now? The end. Bye. Yeah, Talent Code is, uh, that was it in a nutshell. But if you want to get the book and you want to learn about it, then I encourage you to listen to it. And especially for like those who want to learn more about like the neuroplasticity and all that stuff, then yeah, listen to it, okay? You'll receive a lot more when you actually do the work and participate. For yourself if that's something that you feel called to do. Jackie already bought the audio. Nice, nice. Okay, so I want to encourage everyone before we move on to the next topic, which is the last topic.
The same author did another book about culture.
Yeah, The Culture Code. Yeah, The Culture Code. And then there's like, um, there's another book that he has called The Little Book of Talents. And in The Little Book of Talents, there's like 52 different talents that he talks about. And I haven't read the book, but I did it. I attended a training in person in 2014 or something about that. I forget.
I mean, obviously you remember the year, you remembered you went to the training, so I don't know how much more you could have forgotten. That's pretty specific.
Yeah, it changed my life. I'm just kidding. So, okay. Is there any questions in regards to the talent code? Download some key points on the talent code as well. Nice. Yeah, it's perfect. Okay, the last thing I want to talk about, and this is something that we did not discuss— we do everything on improv— on improvision, basically.
And we didn't even get to talk about what we're going to talk about.
That's okay. As long as we're specific and we have clarity with what our message is, right? We, I think we did okay with explaining the town code. You know, we can do better probably.
I like the visuals. I'm a visual person. So I don't know how you guys learn, but Sean taught me, he's like, you're a visual person. I'm like, what do you mean? He's like, you don't really do auditory that well. I'm like, I don't listen well? But if you can understand the way you learn, that helps a lot. For me, it's visual. Like I read, I read like key points to this book and I thought it was amazing because it broke it down for me. And then I also saw this visual and this visual actually like really helped. So if you guys are taking notes, this is also, I feel like another form of myelination, right? Like taking notes, getting into the habit of taking notes because you're not going to remember everything. And the next step would be to teach someone, teach someone on your team, teach someone that wasn't on this call, hop in the chats and be like, hey, this is what we learned today. Like, what do you guys think about it. Like, you know, what— how can we implement this into our daily practice and get better, right? Because you're a community and everyone's trying to grow, everyone's learning. So the more you guys talk and the more you guys go back and forth, it's like a multitude of— you're creating war with the multitude of counselors. And everyone has a different vision, a different way. And someone's saying something you might have never thought that before, and it might like a light bulb moment might go off. So take the time to be able to like talk to each other, teach each other, learn from one another, right? Like that's where, that's where it all starts, is everyone's learning and growing together.
100%. And I want to just share, like, this is a framework that I created and I use this to teach. Like I use this to get my message to whoever I'm teaching, whoever I'm working with. And so it goes like this, there's 3 steps to it. But let me ask you a question. Who would love to go faster?
Me. Everybody.
Who would love to reach their goals faster? Who would love to live the lifestyle of their dreams faster? Who would want to accelerate? Who would want to just go faster, right? How do you unlock speed? That's the question. How do you unlock speed? So for me, what I did was I had to create a framework of how can I take all the knowledge and information and experience I've had in business from my personal experiences and convey that message concisely and specifically and clearly so that way someone can receive what I'm sharing. It's a 3-part framework that I created and I call it clarity, direction, and speed. Everyone can use this. If you— I'm going to tell you right now, we're going to start from the end. Okay. Start with the end in mind, right? Your goal. Unlock speed, okay? So the last one is right here. This is the bonus. This is the amplifier. If you can unlock speed, imagine—
there's a chord—
imagine, imagine if today you were able to hit your goals and dreams. What would that do for you? Imagine— well, let's make it even more specific, okay? Let's just go to 200K for now because that's like a— that's a rank, right? I know I said I was not gonna talk about ranks, but I'm just gonna give us— it's just a specific goal. Imagine if today— actually, it's just 4K, okay? Right, is that 4K? Yeah, that's the first 4K, okay? Imagine that someone on your team, brand new promoter, they're fired up, they're excited for life. They felt as if they're stepping into a new identity because they finally found change. They finally found something that can improve their life. They finally found something that they were able to go along with, to stand behind. And part of the belief process in Thrive is hitting that, that 4K, right? Or even the VIP. But let's talk about 4K, okay? Actually, let's talk about VIP. Let's just say VIP because I like the word VIP better than 4K. So that's just for me. But VIP, imagine today you are able to empower your brand new promoter that just signed up yesterday and they hit VIP today simply because you're able to articulate the message of how do you hit VIP, right? What I mean by that is if you have clarity— clarity is number one— if you have clarity with exactly and specifically what your new— what this new promoter needs to do to hit VIP, you automatically unlock speed. Automatically. You're not even doing anything different. You're just rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. Why? It's because you already perfected how to hit and duplicate VIP. It doesn't matter about the background, it doesn't matter about their situation, it doesn't matter about what's going on in their life. All that matters is you have crystal clear clarity with your message of how to hit VIP. You automatically unlock speed. Now the second part of this framework is I call it direction because that's exactly what's happening. It's, it's possible. It's possible to go nowhere fast. Okay. A lot of people say they want speed, but they don't have the clarity. And because they don't have the clarity, they have the wrong directions. And so they're like going super fast to the wrong place. All right. Guess what? That's why it's important to have that master coach. That accountability partner, that person that's already been in the trenches, that's already been where you want to go. That's how you truly unlock speed, because they can give you that clarity that you need and that direction to get you to where you want to go at the fastest rate possible. When it comes to social media, I've seen how it happens from the start to over 2 million followers and what it took to get to 2 million followers. I've seen the entire ride of what happens, right? I've seen the entire ride from zero followers to 10,000 followers. I've seen the entire ride just from that. So guess what? How much clarity can I give someone who wants to achieve that goal? If you want to just hit your first 10,000 followers, your first thousand followers, What do you need to do? Get that clarity first, then get the specific directions, and then literally just take action because speed is already there. Does that make sense? So whenever you're speaking, whenever you're teaching someone, whatever it is, first and foremost for yourself as a leader, have that clarity. Make sure that you have a crystal clear message that you want to share with someone and And then from there, give them the direction, and that's it. Leave it at that. Because based on what they take action on, based on whatever happens in their life, they're gonna get that result, right? If you already give someone that— the direction— because you had that clarity, they should achieve that result automatically because they're just taking action. That's it. If you get— and does that make sense? Because I don't want to over— I don't want to over-explain this. But it's very simple. It's just 3 steps. Step 1, have clarity with where they want to go. Step 2, give them the clear directions. And then from there, step 3, you're automatically going faster. It's that simple. But without the clarity in the beginning, the direction is gonna be going nowhere fast. Okay, that's just all— that's the whole framework. It's that— it's that simple. All right, now let me— let's take it to the next level. And then I'm gonna end with, with one last thing I really want to talk about. But the clarity— how do you improve clarity? It's by leveling up, okay? It's by getting better. It's by improving yourself. It's by surrounding yourself with people who are higher level than you. It's by stepping into an environment where you're uncomfortable, where you're making the lowest amount of money in that room, where you have the lowest knowledge base in that room. Where you feel like, damn, I can't even speak in this room because of all the knowledge that all these people have. I did that recently. I started in October. I started to put myself in an environment every single week with a group of people that have— they own yachts, they own like buildings, they own, they own all these crazy things, all right? I'm in the room with people who are making millions and millions of dollars. And not only that, not only in their businesses, not only is their business bigger than mine, their knowledge base on what they know— philosophy, history, culture, pop culture, music, there's languages, so many things, all right?
They—
when I got into that room the very first day, the very first day, I told them, I can't believe I feel the So dumb. I feel like the dumbest person in this freaking room. That's— and then when I said that out loud, they all looked at me like, damn, like, do I want to be associated with this motherfucker?
They're like, you can leave. I'm just kidding. No, but I remember when you came home, you were like, I felt so stupid. I was like, really? You of all people? You felt that stupid? I was like, you are in the right room then. I was like make sure you keep going and you ask a lot of questions and you just like become a student. And I was just— I was shocked. I was shocked.
Yeah, and so that's why, increase your level. Mastery. That's how you do it. Get yourself in an uncomfortable place where you're safe but uncomfortable, where you're able to grow, okay? And then from there, the directions are going to follow. You're going to get new directions, the new steps, whatever that may look like, okay? Have fun. The only thing I want to say with this one, if you want to get better and improve your direction giving, just have more fun. Ask yourself that question, how can I have more fun? Alright? Because it's going to be the same thing, you're just trying to get to the same goal, whatever goal that is. How do you make the journey of getting to that goal fun? Alright, if life is not fun, if you're doing something that's not fun, why are you doing it? Okay, that's just my philosophy in life. I don't like to do things I don't have fun with. Last topic in 2 minutes. Last topic: AI, artificial intelligence. Okay, guess what, right? AI, when this, like, the tool ChatGPT came out, I was immediately like, what the hell is this? All right, how do I learn it as fast as possible and how can I use it right away? And so I literally, after I learned it, I recorded a video and I, I put it inside one of my videos. And I was like, all right, now I gotta master this skill because why? Guess what happens every single generation, every single cycle in human history? The old generation basically dies off, right? It's evolve or die, right? It's adaptability. If the old generation does not adapt to the new tools that everyone in the entire world is adapting to, then you will be left behind 100%. And that's okay, you know, it's totally fine. There's going to be people out there who don't adapt to using AI because they don't need to use it, right? But for those of us who are going to use AI, you got to learn how to adapt it. I asked myself this question because I have a consulting business. In the consulting business, I told myself, okay, well, I, I help people scale their business I help them improve their marketing. I help them develop leadership. I ask myself, what the hell, is my consulting business going to get— go outdated because of the use of AI? And then I asked myself this next question. I said, you know what, it's not. Why? Because I've already been helping a specific demographic with the knowledge I have now, but I can now use AI to expand my knowledge base so that way I can help and improve other industries. I literally just brought in my customer reach because I now am joining AI. I'm leveraging AI, right? I'm leveraging AI. There was a quote that I learned from this movie called Avatar, Avatar 2. In the quote, near the end of the movie, they said— and I'll wrap it up with this, okay— they said If you can't get out of it, get into it.
I—
we watched that movie in the theaters. I listened to this one quote from the freaking movie. There's one quote stand out for me from a 3-hour movie. Get— if you can't get out of it, get into it. That quote fired off when I asked myself, is my consulting business going to get outdated because of AI? I said no, it's not, because I can't get out of AI, I better get into it. And that's what I did. So now I have a bigger reach that I can— I have a bigger demographic that I can apply my consulting skills to, my business coaching skills to, simply because it's the same framework. I have the same framework, I can give the same— the different directions applied to their specific niche, and then from there I can unlock speed and help them reach their goals. Very simple, very easy. If you are not adapting to what's happening in the world right now, I encourage you to do so because we're only going to get more into it and not less. All right, so With that being said, I hope this fire hour was helpful. I would love to play some music to do an outro, but it's totally fine. I hope this was helpful, and this was like just an appearance, one-time appearance, and then I'll see everyone at Thrivalooza, okay?
See you guys.
Much love to everyone. Go after your goals and dreams. You guys can do it. You guys got it, alright? Have fun. Enjoy the process. And I hope everyone enjoyed this time. Uh, Fire Hour— I forgot how you said it, but what did I say? Mr. Fire Hour, can't make an appearance?
