What you appreciate, appreciates!

Short YouTube tip from Brett Kelly (Sitkins Group) encouraging insurance agency leaders and agents to deliberately show appreciation. The video explains the principle “what you appreciate, appreciates,” gives a LinkedIn outreach example where gratitude had significant positive impact, and offers concrete actions (thank team members, service staff, carriers, peers) to strengthen relationships and morale.

With my Pro Fit tip, helping your insurance agency become its best version possible.
One of the most simple things that.
You can do as an agency leader.
Or as an agent is to simply.
Show acts of appreciation.
You may have heard this phrase before, but what you appreciate, right where you focus your appreciation, guess what happens? It appreciates. Well, what does appreciates mean? Well, it grows. It grows in value, you grow your relationships, you grow, whatever. But what you appreciate, appreciates. Let me tell you a quick story.
An example of this. I've been trying to be more intentional in my own life and business of reaching out randomly to people that I've seen, whether it's online on LinkedIn or someone I met or whatever it may.
Be, and just say, hey, I just wanted to tell you again that I really appreciate what you did or what you're doing.
And I had an experience just last week, it was really cool, where I reached out to someone who I think has been doing a great job on LinkedIn, sharing some ideas and thoughts, and I just sent him a quick message. I said, listen, I just want to tell you that I really appreciate what you're doing. Thanks for being a leader in the industry and wish you all the best. And he wrote back to me and said, I can't tell you how impactful and powerful and important that message was for me. I was going through a difficult week or a difficult time, so you have the opportunity and the power to say.
Thank you, to tell people that you.
Appreciate them, to show your gratitude, and you don't know where they're at.
The cool thing about this, we shouldn't.
Be showing appreciation to get something back.
But the reality of it is that.
When we do it, typically it does always come back in one way or another. Here's the thing, it makes you feel really good. I know this business, the insurance industry, is tough. There's rough days and there are mean clients sometimes, and there are underwriters and carriers that don't give you what you want. And so it could be tough and it could be busy and it could be stressful, but take 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. Just think about people that have done something good for you or that you've seen them do something that's important and say, I appreciate what you're doing. By the way, if you're an agency leader, go to your team and just say, I just wanted to tell you real quick I appreciate the things that you're doing. If you're an agent, go to your service team and say I really appreciate you. I don't say it often enough. Go to your insurance carriers and say, I really appreciate what you did for me or what you're doing for me.
You'll be amazed of what that'll do.
For you long term. What will appreciate in your life and your business and your growth. Wish you all the best in your success.
