And as you can see, I've got a question for you, a challenge for you. What's the best way, the best way to connect with people? Now, before I give you the answer and maybe you have some ideas or thoughts, why is connecting so important in the first place? Now, I am a huge advocate of leadership and leadership principles. I believe that leadership truly is about influence and I believe that we can increase our influence in a positive and proactive way by not just communicating with others well, but connecting, diving deeper into relationships. I'm sure you felt that in your own life and your own business as well. Well, let me give you a hint to the answer to this question comes from one of my favorite books, John Maxwell. Good leaders ask great questions. So a fantastic book on the power of questions and how questions can unlock doors in your life and open and deepen relationships. So what's the best way to connect with people? Ask great questions. And by the way, to ask great questions, you need to come prepared. You need to come prepared if you're an agency leader to your team meetings. What are the right questions to ask? What do I need to find out? What do I need to learn? What do I not know that I should know? You need to learn how to ask great questions to prepare. If you're an insurance sales producer, what are the three top underwriting questions that this account is dealing with? What are the questions from different concerns for safety or loss? What are the questions the other agent isn't asking? Right. This takes preparation, but when you ask the right questions, it will unlock doors. In fact, I believe that even a good question is better than a great answer. Now, if you ask great questions, you can take your career to the next level. So spend some time. My encouragement and challenge to you is figure out how to prep to ask the right questions. Because when you do ask the right questions that will unlock doors and give you new opportunities you have not had before. One of the things that we do at our producer fit camp, we'll see here at the top sitkins.com profit is we spend some time working on asking great questions and role playing. And what's interesting is most people don't practice and just within an hour or so how much better people get. So spend the time in working on asking quality questions, all the best in your success.
