Hi, Brent Kelly here of the Sitkins Group with my Pro Fit tip, Professional Fitness to help your agency gain clarity, build consistency, and make a commitment to become your best version possible. I've had the great opportunity. It's been very busy, but the great opportunity the last eight weeks to be part of many different events. Actually nine different events. I was looking back at my calendar today, both public events and private events. Events with producers, events with agency leaders, events with association groups, you name it. I probably have attended and spoke and worked with people at an event in the past eight weeks. This quote really came to mind as I was thinking about today's tip that I wanted to share. That comes from the late, great Jim Rohn, who said you're the average of the five people you spend the most time with of all the takeaways. And I've got so many notes of takeaways of these different events and learning from others and being able to train and work with other professionals in the insurance business. One thing that really comes to mind is that there is a power when you get into a room with people that are committed and care about growth, and you're able to share ideas and concepts and agree and disagree and challenge each other and push each other to a new level. That's the power of masterminding. That's the power of spending time and putting yourself in an environment of growth. So my challenge to you is this. Where are you spending your time now? Of course, the five people you spend the most time with. Often people will say, of course, that's my spouse or my kids or people I work with every day. Certainly, I understand that. But I want you to think about where you position yourself now and into 2020 with your environment. Are you around people consistently that will challenge you to be your best. That will give you a hug when you need a hug, but also give you a little punch in the arm when it's like, hey, it's time for you to step it up a little bit. I can tell you, of all the things in my life that have helped my personal growth, it's been mentors, it's been coaches, it's been peers that have been willing to share ideas and challenge me at different levels, get me to think differently. You know, I really believe that we only change for three reasons. Number one, we hurt enough that we have to. Right? We've hit rock bottom. That's not where any of us want to be. But that happens, I think, when we learn enough that we want to change. And lastly, we receive enough that we can change. And that all revolves around this idea of who are you putting yourself around? Who are the people? Who are the coaches, who are the mentors? Who are the peers that you're willing to surround yourself with? So I want you to take a look at your life right now, professionally, personally, and say, where am I spending my time? Who am I spending my time with? And. And who do I need to spend more time with Moving forward into 2020? Wish you all the best in your success.
