There are two different ways that you can find a grant writer. Larger grant writing agencies have a really strong track record, and they have a systematic approach that helps them to churn out grants after grants after grants. And these agencies are typically composed of many different grant writers with varying skill sets, backgrounds, and levels of experience. And when working with these agencies, they would sometimes assign you a small team of grant writers that can support you throughout your grant writing process. And although some agencies can work on an hourly basis, many of them would prefer a flat fee arrangement plus a success fee. Independent freelancers are a choice as well, and you can find one at your price point. However, the quality of independent grant writers can have more variability compared to that of an agency, so you just want to make sure that you do your due diligence before you make that hire.
