So once you hit the submit button on your SBIR application, it goes through a peer review process. And this peer review is performed by a panel of scientific and technical experts that are relevant to the focus of your SBIR application. And they are responsible for evaluating your grant based on certain review criteria. And this includes the scientific and technical merit of the proposed research, the potential of the commercial impact, and the capabilities of the startup to carry out the proposed work. If you'd like to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes within this entire peer review process, I'll leave a link in the description to another video.
