HGTV and Discovery Channel Host Shows you how to DwellGreen

The video features Emmanuel Beliveau, a globe‑trotting HGTV and Discovery Channel host, introducing Dwell Green – a home‑services company that helps homeowners make their houses greener, healthier, and more cost‑effective. Emmanuel meets Dwell Green advisor Matt and homeowner Camille, who explains her motivations: long‑term investment, comfort issues, and structural concerns. Matt conducts a comprehensive, whole‑house evaluation using tools such as an infrared camera, a Toughbook tablet, data loggers, and a circuit‑level energy monitor. The assessment covers four focus areas – energy consumption, water management, health/comfort, and structural fortification – and identifies both major opportunities and “low‑hanging fruit.” Findings are entered into DwellPort, an online portal that presents a sequenced list of recommendations, estimates, and vetted service providers, allowing homeowners to track projects and savings in real time. Multiple homeowners share testimonials about reduced energy bills, improved comfort, and the value of having a trusted advisor. The segment concludes by emphasizing the ongoing relationship Dwell Green offers, including continuous monitoring, phone support, and the ability to make informed, incremental upgrades.

Hi, I'm Emmanuel Belleveau. I've traveled the globe in search of the world's greenest homes for HGTV and the Discovery Channel. I've seen homes that are gorgeous, opulent, and high-tech, but I've also seen homes that are simple and modest. And what do each of these homes have in common besides being extraordinarily green? Well, each of the homeowners believed that when it comes to being green, it's not about perfection, it's about participation. Welcome to Dwell Green. It's the easiest way to participate while you save money, have a healthy home, and help save the environment. Dwell Green is your trusted advisor. They're a new kind of home services company. They have the experts, the tools to help you save money, guaranteed. Now let's go meet Matt. Hey, Matt.
Hi, Manny. How you doing? I'm great.
All right, what is Dwell Green?
Manny, I can tell you, but let me show you. Let's go meet our new client, Camille.
All right, let's do that. Hi, Camille.
Hi.
Gosh, I'm so excited you're here.
Good to be here. I'm Manuel, and this is Matt. Hey, Matt, welcome.
Thank you.
Shall we do it? Yeah, come through.
Alright, let's go.
Matt, after you. Why did you call Dwell Green?
I used Dwell Green because I put a lot of investment into my home, and I intend staying there for a number of years, and I believe that the improvements that Dwell Green have suggested to me will make my house much more livable in and certainly much more economical.
Alright, Camille, why did you decide to Dwell Green?
Well, I was really fortunate that my realtor knew about Dwell Green. I'm concerned about the environment, but there are also these problems with the house that it just wasn't quite working the way it should. The kids are freezing while I'm sweating away in my bedroom. The hot water heater seems to take forever to heat water and then get it to the faucets it needs to go to. I know it needs a new roof. You know, I'm concerned about the structural I don't know how it's gonna hold up. So I'm really looking forward to Dwell Green evaluating things and helping me solve some of these problems and getting some reputable people out here to fix some things for me.
Well, it sounds like you have a very specific list of problems you have with your home. Matt, are there things that we can do for her?
Absolutely. You know, Camille, you're not the first homeowner that we've met with that have had these same issues. And what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a look around your home and we're gonna use some very specific tools to identify some of the issues that you've talked about.
Each home evaluation starts with a discussion about your specific goals for your home. This is where we find out what you like and don't like about your house and learn about opportunities to save you money. Dwell Green focuses on 4 main areas of your home: energy consumption, water management, health and comfort of home, structure and fortification.
You know what, why don't you come with me, we'll walk around the home and learn about some of those items that we just talked about.
Great, that sounds great.
So Matt, where should we start?
Why don't we start from the top down? How about we start in the attic?
Great, good idea. Here, starting in the attic, Matt is showing Camille how, by using an infrared camera, we can identify where heat or cold is infiltrating the house. Dwell Green Advisors use Toughbook, a handheld tablet computer, to go through their process, collecting information on all major systems throughout your home that either use energy, water, have a structural consideration, or contribute to the health and the overall quality of life for you and your family in the home. Hey, Matt.
Hey, Manny.
How you doing? What are you working on?
I was just looking at how close this sprinkler head is in the configuration to the building, which is not good at all. So I'm making some notes so we can include that in the report as well.
Yeah, I was inside and I was wondering where you went. I mean, your evaluation actually takes you outside.
It does. We look at all aspects of the home, a whole house method. We look at the strength of the building, fortification, and we look outside as well for the water features such as this. We don't want that water getting on the home, damaging the siding or the stucco in this case. And we also take a look at the yard and what type of water usage we have outside as well.
I notice you have the power meter over here.
Yeah.
Let's take a look at this.
That thing's kind of moving, isn't it?
It's spinning. Can we slow this down?
We can definitely slow this down. You know, in some cases we've even seen our homeowners, after implementing our recommendations, watch that meter spin backwards.
Yeah, I've been in some of those homes, and those are really great homes.
Yeah.
Let's hope we can do that for her.
I think we can definitely slow it down.
Okay, awesome. Alright, I'll just keep working. I'm gonna go back inside.
You got it.
What was your experience like with Dwell Green?
You know, with Dwell Green, it's like I have a trusted advisor. I have one person who knows my house from inside to out, and working with Dwell Green, I've started learning about my house, and I'm no longer so afraid when I act.
Dwell Green advisors help you learn about your home's current condition before advising you on any investment improvements or system replacements and create the optimal plan for the future. While in your home, they not only identify potentially major opportunities for savings, but also what they like to call low-hanging fruit. These are opportunities that are typically overlooked, helping you reduce costs, eliminate maintenance headaches both in and outside the home that can save you a lot of money. Another way to capture information is by using data loggers, special devices to capture data like the temperature and humidity over time in specific areas of your home and help identify where real problems are before it's too late. What was your experience like with Joel Greene?
Well, he looked at the entire house, went around, looked at the pool pump, looked at electricity, even looked at the aerators on the faucets, and gave me all sorts of ideas of things we could do. We've already had an estimate on new insulation that'll help with the attic and all the air coming in around our can lights. Um, the pool pump, we're gonna replace that. Just went on and on with all these amazing things that we could do to improve the house. John always tells me that I am excellent at spending money, but in this case I went back and I'm saving money, so he's much happier with me today.
That's right. Sometimes they discover things most homeowners would never see as a potential problem. That can add up to lots of wasted money and resources over time.
We put some blue dye tabs in the tank in the back of the toilet here just to see if there was any leakage going on into the bowl. And I think the results here in the bowl are pretty obvious. Wow. Lots of blue dye in there. So even as cool as this old toilet is, I think you're gonna need to replace it.
Would you recommend Dwell Green to your friends? We already recommended Dwell Green to several friends with issues that we had.
You know, for the small amount of money it costs to go through this process, the information you get back and what you can do with that information is just so well worth it. I just can't imagine anybody not wanting to do it.
To do it.
It just makes so much sense.
Alright, we've just completed the evaluation, so let's check in with Matt and Camille.
Hey, I'm glad you're here. We were just about to log into the Dwellport. We're at the DwellGreen website, so down in the lower right, if you could go ahead and log in with the credentials that we provided. Great. You see here, this is the page of findings and recommendations, and what we've got here on this list are the items that we just went through on your home.
DwellGreen's clients are provided with a custom personalized homepage that becomes a new base of operation for making any home improvement decisions moving forward. By logging into the Dwellport, you have access to all the recommendations that were created in real time based on the information collected during the evaluation. Once you log in, the first page gives you a list of recommendations in the sequence in which they should be implemented, along with the ability to learn more about the benefits of each of these opportunities. There are several ways to view the recommendations and get estimates from fully vetted, certified Dwell Green service providers. You can also receive estimates, award contracts, and track all of it, all through your DwellPort. Every home improvement option can be accomplished with Dwell Green, allowing you to put more money back in your pocket. What has Dwell Green taught you?
One of the things that the representative showed us was there was a sequence of items that were best to follow in order to get the most savings out of the program. So that's one of, that's one of the advantages. They won't tell you to waste your time doing one thing when you should actually be doing something else to save money.
Dwell Green can provide you with a circuit-level energy monitor in your home. This can also be tracked through the Dwell Port, which allows you to pinpoint which device or appliance is costing you money, make changes, and track the results.. The most important thing to know is that the evaluation and establishing a home on the Dwellport is only the beginning of the relationship with your trusted advisor. And remember, they're always just a phone call away.
You're really going to be surprised. There's a lot of savings here.
Well, I love the website. I feel like I've got everything at my fingertips. I'm in control of the projects I'm going to do to my house, and I'm really eager to get going. To sum it up, my experience with Dwell Green has been fantastic. Within a couple days of the evaluation, I had an e-monitor installed, and I've been able to learn a lot of information about appliances, how much energy everyone's using. I've already done a lot of things that they recommended. My house feels better, the air conditioning situation was solved, and I'm just feeling great. We're happy in our house, we're feeling great about everything and saving a lot of money already. It's been fantastic.
Just imagine if every house on this block could save money from the expert advice of Dwell Green. This would add up to tens of thousands of dollars and reduce the impact on the environment. Get a plan. Own your house before it owns you. Call a Dwell Green advisor today. It's your money. It's your world. I'm Emmanuel Beliveau. I hope you'll participate in Dwell Green.
