My name is Stephen Krupin. I graduated from the master's program in 2008, and now I lead the executive communications practice at SKD Knickerbocker, working with CEOs, politicians, advocates, nonprofit leaders to help them tell their stories, writing speeches and media training. I came to the master's program because I had a great interest in both media and politics, and when I graduated, I was working for the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Shortly after graduating, became his chief speechwriter. I then went to Chicago and was the director of speechwriting on the president's reelection campaign, and after the election was Secretary Kerry's chief speechwriter at the Department of State. After leaving this program, we've all gone on to do a lot of different things in a lot of different parts of the world, and the silver anniversary is a great time to come back and reconnect with the people we studied with, the professors we learned from, and maintain that sense of community that this school represents.
