In this Spanish‑language motivational talk, Alejandro Pazos shares a detailed autobiographical narrative that illustrates how his mindset shaped his life. He recounts a painful childhood marked by an abusive, mentally ill father and learning difficulties, which he later reframed through forgiveness and self‑compassion. At age 12 he discovered tennis, winning championships that boosted his self‑concept, but the abuse continued, leading to substance addiction by his early teens. On his 21st birthday, after a panic attack and a prayer to God, he chose sobriety, marking the start of a 38‑year period of abstinence. He then leveraged his newfound confidence to launch a series of businesses: a hand‑car wash in Miami, an ice‑cream shop, nightclub promotion, and concert promotion for Juan Carlos Sanchez Balza in Nicaragua and Peru. Lacking formal business training, he educated himself through books and seminars, building confidence and a disciplined mental routine he calls the “hora milagrosa,” the first hour of each day dedicated to affirmations, exercise, and reading. He met his wife Margarita, married, and together they expanded into multiple ventures—Success Factor training center, Success Academy for youth, Crea Key Media Lab, Pasos Producciones, and a network‑marketing leadership role. After a partner’s betrayal in 2010 caused financial loss and depression, he deepened his practice of mental laws, emphasizing daily application. Political unrest forced them to flee Nicaragua in 2018, restarting their training center in Miami as Pasos al Éxito Coaching and Training Excellence. The COVID‑19 pandemic prompted a pivot to virtual education, leading to the creation of Pasos al Éxito University, now serving over 55,000 students in 45 countries. He cites mentors such as Brian Tracy, John Maxwell, Brendon Burchard, Gary Vee, Grant Cardone, and Tony Robbins, and distills three core mental principles: thoughts become reality, you become what you think most of the time, and the external world reflects your internal world. The talk concludes with an invitation for listeners to adopt the same mindset, emphasizing that if he could succeed, anyone can.
