Short YouTube video by Tim Hubbard offering micro-advice to Airbnb hosts: emojis alter how identical written messages are interpreted (example: offering late checkout with vs. without a smiley). Emphasizes that written communication matters and there are better and worse ways to phrase messages to guests.

If you send a message that says, you're welcome to check out late if you would like, versus you're welcome to check out late if you would like, with a smiley face, that is a different message. Right. Your guest is going to interpret that differently. So emojis have helped us a little bit with this, but nonetheless, written communication is really important, and there's a right way to do it and there's a wrong way to do it.
