Susan Britton MCC breaks down PCC marker 7.2: asking multiple "who" questions that shift focus from a situation to how the client shows up in it. Sample questions include "How do you want to show up during this challenging time?" and "What do you want your team to see in you?" These questions help clients access their internal resources and leadership potential.

Susan with the Academies and another tip on ICF PCC marker for evokes awareness number 7.2. So 7.2 is when the coach asks questions that help expand, deepen, broaden the client's thinking or feeling about themselves, not their situation or how they're going to change their situation, more about how they're showing up in that situation. So questions that would coach what we call the who about themselves would be things like, how do you want to show up during this challenging time? What do you want your team to see in you as you navigate this tough road? What are the values that you're really holding fast to? Or, you know, coaching is about change, so asking, how do you want to lead differently in this circumstance? You know, what are the competencies, the leadership competencies within your organization that you're wanting to tap into? How is this an opportunity to be able to tap into that, those values? And what are the values? So those are who-type questions. That are going to help elicit 7.2. Remember, 7.2 is one of those markers that has an asterisk next to it, meaning you're going to ask more than one question about the who during each coaching conversation.
