Susan Britton's mother recognized her musical talent and emotional sensitivity, steering her toward music therapy. That early guidance shaped her career path, eventually leading her to become a career coach.
I laugh at this because I, I later transitioned and I was a career coach, but my mother chose my career for me. And I do appreciate that because, you know, I was busy having fun and working hard. But she said, what if you combined your interest in people and actually therapy? Because I always was very attuned to how people were responding, you know, if they look like they were upset, if they were happy. I just could really kind of zone in on that sort of thing. So she found that there was a career called music therapy. And so it was a perfect match really for me with my musicality and my interest in behavior and people.
