Coaching tip for the day: if you are wanting to evoke awareness, which is ICF number 7 in the International Coaching Federation competencies, to evoke awareness, listen for where your client may be having one of two things. Either they're having ambivalence around something, the way that they're thinking, like it's this or that and they're flip-flopping, or there's tension around something. So oftentimes ambivalence or tension is just a signal that somebody's ready to move to a new place in the way that they think. So once you see that ambivalence, once you see that tension, Notice it, name it, be curious about it, and then open up an exploration around it.
