In this brief presentation, Susan Britton of the Academies for Coach Training explains the core of the Capacity Coach program using a simple two‑axis model. The horizontal axis represents the degree of connection – from separating to connecting with oneself and others. The vertical axis represents the mode of response – from reacting to creating. The intersection of these axes defines several mental states: the Red Zone (separating + reacting), the Blue Zone (connecting + creating), the Buddy Brain (over‑connecting without creation, leading to people‑pleasing), the Bias Brain (over‑creating without connection, leading to self‑centric certainty), and the Capacity Space where balanced connection and creation foster collective intelligence. The program teaches how to cultivate psychological safety, enable strategic connecting, and drive strategic creating, leveraging the research that two heads are better than one. Susan invites viewers to join the class to develop these capacities.
