The difference I've seen in my students as I've continued to work on that is the delight in their face and the, the sense of empowerment that they seem to take on when They come up with impactful solutions as it relates to their own career journey.
I have noticed through the coaching appointments, my students not only have a better idea about the problem they are having, but they also have a better idea about themselves.
Yeah, I think the biggest difference I've seen is just the level of engagement that comes from good questions, specifically questions around strengths and things that have worked in the past for them in similar comparable situations, I tend to see eyes light up more and just the conversation gets better and students go from far away to, you know, feeling like they're taking ownership of things.
The biggest difference that I've seen in the folks that I've coached is in trying to lean into the idea of evoking more awareness. I would say that I've seen individuals, I guess, be more reflective and perhaps think a little bit more deeply about their career thoughts or questions perhaps than in previous times where I think I think many times the people that we see, it's— they have a little bit more of a transactional mindset.
Some of the differences that I've seen in my students, I think like a lot of us, more ownership of both problems and solutions. I really have noticed that a lot more, and it makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing because really and truly it is, you know, their lives, their decisions, their careers.
It was so, so helpful for me to take the pressure off myself and realize, like, I can just be curious, ask a lot of questions. There's support.
So I think this is really helpful, really encouraging, help us to help every one of us to become a better coach.
Each week, challenging myself to incorporate, think about, and understand what we talked about during our sessions or classes. Making sure I worked with my students. And so just kind of getting those practices, giving myself that opportunity and continuing to grow. That's the biggest thing I'm proudest of is just that whole growth throughout the class.
If we can help them to coach themselves, then, you know, down along their career where they don't have access to a career coach, they're already kind of prepared to coach themselves.
At the end of it, they say something like, I think I just needed to talk to someone, which I feel like in, in our world is such a success because they really knew what they wanted to do, but we helped them see it.
