A second business brain is something for you that will set you up for a freedom, richer business and life. It is part of your business excellence, your business operations that will allow you to expand without exhaustion. When I thought about creating and setting up my business, there was so much on my plate. I think that you can resonate with that. Maybe that I didn't think about setting everything up in the sense that it will support me to grow and scale my business. There is a book called Building a Second Brain created and written by Tiago Forte. And this brought me basically to this idea. He's talking about the virtual assistant that is the second brain. And when I talk about the business brain. So your second business brain, it doesn't mean that this is only your virtual assistant, but it is also a freedom rich setup for your business and your life. First of all, what is a second business brain? It's basically an online place where you set up all your knowledge, where you and your team have access to talking, for example about strategy, like your value proposition, like your KPIs, any kind of values itself. So everybody has access to it. Also very important operations, any kind of standard operating procedures, any kind of tools, etc. And last but not least, anything for people, everything around people, meaning for example, your performance management, any kind of trainings for your employees, internal or external, as well as offboarding and onboarding procedures. Here are the three reasons why you might need a second business brain. First of all, when you expand and grow your business, you shouldn't and you can't remember everything. And this is where your second business brain kicks in. This is something what I had to learn the hard way. The second reason is that everything is documented in a systemized and organized way. So you and other people can repeat tasks and workflows over and over again without much effort, energy or even time. This is especially helpful when you, like mentioned at the beginning, want to hire someone or when you want to offload some work from your table. This is very supportive when you have that in place. And the third and last one is most importantly, like just mentioned, if you want to hire someone, if you want to delegate your work, this is basically the perfect beginning where it allows you to delegate easily without much effort and supports you and your team members. Those can be internal employees or external employees, where they can go through those things, those workflows and processes without you. Yes, when you want to expand and grow your business, you have to be able to provide and share work with others. That is not all the time, including you. A second business Brain is something for you that will set you up for a freedom, richer business and life. It is part of your business excellence, your business operations that will allow you to expand without exhaustion. Now you probably wonder where to create the second Business Brain, which is. Well, this depends and of course it's up to you. I can highly recommend to focus on one main platform where you can have most of the things they are able to automate things. So for example, for me it's ClickUp, one of the great platforms where we do a lot of things, not only work with each other but also document lots and lots of things and where we have a beautiful structure that is also visible on other places. You can also go for any other platforms that you like. I recommend for example Confluence, where you have the opportunity to do lots and lots of things there as well.
