Are there dualsouls - what are twinflames?
20 Jan 2024 · 14 min
In this podcast episode, host Speaker A, who claims to have gained cosmic communication abilities after a near‑death experience, converses with Sylvia Leifheit and a guiding voice (Speaker C) about the popular notion of "twin flames" or "dual souls." Speaker C repeatedly asserts that the idea of a single soul split into two identical halves does not exist. Instead, strong attractions between people arise from resonant vibrational frequencies, shared soul‑family origins, or similar energetic patterns. The dialogue explores how longing for unity fuels the twin‑flame myth, distinguishes between true soul‑core resonances and superficial material attraction, and proposes more accurate terminology such as "sister soul" or "brother soul" rather than "twin flame." The speakers discuss how differing temperaments (e.g., a fiery partner versus a meditative partner) can still create deep bonds through complementary energies, and argue that growth often emerges from friction between distinct soul energies rather than from perfect harmony. Throughout, the tone remains conversational and philosophical, with a skeptical stance toward the twin‑flame concept and a supportive attitude toward nuanced, energetically‑based descriptions of soul relationships.

Dear human, dear soul, I welcome you to my podcast series Conversations with the Universe.
Sylvia Leifheitheit.
Since a near-death experience, I have the gift to communicate with subtle levels of the cosmos. The knowledge from these for us invisible forms of energy I capture in my books, and it is now a great pleasure for me to share this knowledge, these conversations, with you as a supplement to the books. Please excuse me if the terms and articulations are not perfect. Our mother tongue is German, but we try to translate it to the best of our abilities. Thank you.
My dearest friend and teacher, today I would like to inquire about the subject of dual souls. Some refer to it also as twin flame. It's a topic that, to be honest, I've never heard from you about, but among people it's becoming more and more fashionable. So please, let's discuss what it's all about. Probably someone has picked up on some sort of energy that is correct and maybe turned it into some kind of fairy tale, as we have often experienced so far. I don't know, but I'm quite open and looking forward to your explanations. Please start now.
My dear Sylvia Leifheit, twin flames are indeed a fairy tale from the human world. There is no such thing as a twin flame. At most, there is a material attraction or the resonating of their soul frequencies. In the best case, even both together. But there is no twin flame as it is communicated in these areas of your world.
But I know people who believe they have met their soulmates and that it creates a very strong attraction.
Yes, as I already mentioned, such resonances are not special. But the notion of a true twin soul, in the sense of a soul that exists in two parts across the cosmos simply does not exist. Sylvia Leifheit, it just doesn't. What people do mean, however, are the parallels in their vibrational fields, and perhaps also shared past experiences that resonate with memories in their souls. And these feelings are so deeply embedded within them that in fact it really is only this kind of memory that encounters desires. And all of this together then creates the feeling that one is encountering what is called a twin soul. In reality, one is mainly meeting a soul core that exhibits similar frequencies.
I found that such evaluations, or let's say visual representations of various facts, arise from patterns of belief, but above all from a deep yearning. One spends all this time in their body, as if in a cocoon, and really wishes there to be at least one other person who thinks, feels, eats, and perhaps even shares the same memories as oneself. Therefore, I can understand the cause, but it stems from a profound longing to no longer feel this separation.
You've hit the nail on the head. The reason for this valuation from the world of humans is indeed precisely this longing.
So, there is no such thing as a soul that has doubled itself or split at the core? With one part incarnated in America and the other in Europe? And both would like to come together?
No, no, no, no, no, no! And no for all eternity! Given everything you've learned so far, you should actually be able to answer this question yourself. There might be fragments of souls that cling to other souls causing them to feel a certain remembrance but real twin flames, Silvia—no, they do not exist. A soul core cannot split or duplicate.
So from an energy standpoint, that's an impossibility.
That's the way it is.
This is the essence of your message here, isn't it? Yes. This will now be somewhat disillusioning for some people who believe that they are with their twin flame.
What would you like me to say now?
I don't want you to say anything. I'm just saying that some people are about to have their bubble burst.
I'm sorry, but it's pointless to spread lies just to fulfill desires, right?
Yes, I know, I know. I need to step it up, dear friend. But it could be possible that these souls come from the same mother soul, and for that reason, they might resonate in a similar way.
Yes, it is entirely possible that in your explanations in the human world, you actually mean such things.
Please describe to me again what your experience is like when you meet a kindred spirit. Maybe then we can define it a bit better.
That may be true, but the very essences, even though they are the mother of the soul, don't necessarily have to resonate in the same way.
Well, but it is possible that these souls originate from the same source, yes, are from the same source, I mean. Yes. How can one recognize someone who is cut from the same cloth?
Mostly in the manner of being, the level of demand, and energetics in general. Take your soul's strength as an example. Do you think your soul's strength, your soul will have its origin in the same energetics as that of your husband Gabriel?
Wow, that's hard to answer because we share very, very many similar views, but he has a completely different temperament. He's a fiery—
yes, a fiery soul. Yes, and that's exactly what I mean. His strength is much more energetic in the emotional realm, where you appear more considerate and connected. At his core, these energies vibrate, while at your core, many meditative, silent, calm, and thoughtful spiritual forces resonate.
But I always thought that such emotions are just something caused by the body and not the soul?
No no no no no no! And once again no— it really is the core of the Soul that carries such forces within. You too are a rebellious energy... meditative on one hand and rebellious on the other, as you know. Would you say that the rebelliousness in you is exclusively based on animalistic reasons?
No, not at all. It's something that actually exists deep within me, at the core of my soul, very deep. It actually has nothing to do with my body.
You see, explained very nicely. And the same goes for his views on nuclear energy. Anyway, I could bring hundreds of examples. You are fundamentally different, but you have a very positive and inspiring effect on each other, which ultimately creates a bond. If there were no common resonances, no union would be possible, not with this intensity. Nevertheless, you are not twin souls because of this.
Okay, I've understood that, but I want to go back to the beginning. How is it if I meet someone and I feel a connection from the bottom of my heart? Then they might also be somewhat reserved and perhaps a bit of a rebel, right? So a silent rebel.
I cannot say what colors this being ultimately shows, but at the core level of energy, that which is also supposed to originate from the same essence, would resonate similarly to you. That is the key. Please always think of the energetics, not the external forms. Think of the inside, the very deep inside, what burns at the core of the soul. And this fundamental energy is shaped, or let's say, initiated the same because of that shared essence.
So it's actually more thrilling not being with someone from the same background and to share life with them, because through this you can grow. See more clearly who you are, all that you are, what you want. And in my opinion, this is how you learn the most. Can we generally say that as well?
Yes, I would phrase it that way too. Growth is far more possible through friction with other energies, energy fields, and soul fields than through the exclusively harmonious.
But similar-sounding things also need each other to give space, to unfold even there.
One aspect is the unfolding of the soul's power, the other is the soul's power becoming conscious. Both are experienced differently, with or without friction, and both carry their own potential within.
I understand. Okay, I've got that. Can we definitively say that when people from the same soul family meet, they are not twin flames?
Yes, but I would not like to emphasize that too much because it is possible to encounter a soul with a different frequency from another deep core essence that resonates in a way that makes one feel understood like never before. However, to call this a twin flame, and that is the essence of this chapter, is, I repeat, not correct. One could at most call it a sister or brother soul. But there are no twin flames, Sylvia Leifheit. The term is incorrect.
I mean, twin flame is also referred to as twin flame. This would imply slightly better, or would essentially describe a bit more accurately what you mean, because it's not about one soul that is dual, consisting of two parts, but rather two souls that resonate in harmony in a twin-like manner. Mm, yes.
To be honest, I don't really like this differentiation anymore. Twin soul implies, of course, that the source is the same, meaning that the mother soul has to be the same, which is not necessarily the case. Therefore, the terms sister soul or brother soul are ultimately better, because twin soul would mean We are cut from the same cloth.
That's what you say, isn't it? Yes and no. There are also fraternal twins. Identical twins are energies that are almost identical. They hardly have any individuality in their expressions. So, I understand your concern about this description though.
And I appreciate your insatiable curiosity to address this last word of yours. The term distorts it a little for me, even if it's on the way to describe it better than soulmate. Brother soul, sister soul, son soul, friend soul, wise soul, and so many other parallel descriptive forms of energy you could use. And all of them would be far better than soulmate. And consequently also better than twin flame!
Hmm... okay— I think I'm slowly starting to understand it now! Thank you dear friend! Love?
Thank you Sylvia, I am looking forward to your next questions. Best wishes!
