A short transcript excerpt from a Fight to Ignite preview where two speakers discuss building trust and commitment in relationships and practical strategies for gaining confidence and success in insurance sales. They emphasize activity and practice (dials, paper applications, roleplay), mention Equus Financial and a co-created product with GPM Live, and give concrete tips for new agents (carry multiple paper applications, practice with managers).
All relationships are built on trust and commitment. Anya and Michael have been by my side and had my back there and been, you know, supports and anchors for me and I think that you need that. Flaky is good if you're Toaster strudel. When I feel like it's time to quit, that's when I do one more dial because that's the one I know that I'm gonna set the appointment on. But once Equus became more than a paycheck for us, it became an opportunity. Now it's become something enjoyable to do.
Activity builds confidence. People talk about having confidence. You have to do it to gain the confidence. Equus Financial and GPM Live co created this product together and so we are the only ones that have this. Odds are that quote is probably going to beat out any policy you have. So GPM is fantastic to have in our arsenal. CVS Pharmacy and Aetna. Most of our senior market is going to recognize those two names and people like to do business with something that feels familiar and comfortable to say is if term life, whole life got married and they had a baby, their baby would be universal life. Bring out the paper apps and write a fake one on yourself and send it to your manager and to ask your manager, hey, what do you think? How did I do? And they're going to give you some tips about what to fix, what sections you missed, what you needed to include. That way when you get into a home you're already a pro so you're not fumbling over that app looking like a movie and you'll be able bit less nervous. Like Blake and Kerrigan said, experience and activity combat that fear. So the more practice you have, the less scared you're going to be in home and then they can give you corrections and that way you're confident when you go into homes. Also brand new agents have like I was told to have five copies of every paper app in my bag. Because when you're taking a paper application and you make a mistake, there's two things you can do. You can either exit out, initial it, date the date the mistake or you just start on a brand new page. So make sure you have five applications when you go into a home. So just in case you make a mistake, you have a fresh one that you can just start writing right back on. Okay, there's always something on that one phone call. There's always something on that one dial session. There's always something on that you miss. Literally can be the difference of you like hitting a leak producer or making a Sal.
