This short YouTube transcript (Tanya Hughes) provides a scripted response to the common sales objection “I already spoke with someone.” The speaker walks through verification steps (ask for the agent’s name, check the Equus site via the submit-application lookup), fallback questions (ask the insurance company if the agent name is unknown), and a concise pitch to secure five minutes to compare options and schedule a quick follow-up (ask availability, include spouse). The goal is to confirm whether an Equus agent handled the case and to offer a brief review to ensure the client has the best price and coverage.

Another objection you'll hear is you're also going to run into people that say, I already spoke with someone. Very simply tell the client, that's perfect. What was the name of the agent you had spoke to? Sometimes they remember, sometimes they don't. However, you can go onto the Equus site and submit, hit submit application, put the name in and see if their name pops up. If it pops up, means it was written by another Equus agent. You want to let them know you, you're in great hands. I'm glad that agent was taken care of for you. If it doesn't show up in the system and they can't remember the agent's name, you want to ask them the name of the insurance company. No matter what they say, you just let them know. Okay. Do you know what they put them there. My job is to make sure that you've got the best option for the best price. You got the biggest bang for your buck. It'll take me about five minutes just to be able to go over that information with you. When are you and your spouse typically available? Is morning or afternoon or evening best for you? My job is just to double check to make sure you didn't go with one of the higher options available in the marketplace. If you just give me five minutes, let's see if we can put you in a better spot before you pay on something like this. For decades that you don't know if you're getting the best bang for your buck.
