When's the last time that you were surprised at something that you learned, like, holy shit, I can't believe this is going on?

Just this week. There's a story that's gonna come out, it's gonna knock your socks off. I was surprised by a story I just found out about it. One of the things I like about myself is I'm not cynical or hardened by stuff. I'm always surprised when people behave badly. I'm always surprised when people do the wrong thing. Ultimately, I don't wanna become one of those hard-boiled, you know, that's just the way life is, kids. People suck. I don't wanna be that person. And so I like being surprised. I like that I am continually like, how could they do that? You know, just this recent pet, there's a lot of online stuff around this Haitian pet eating thing, which is insane. And I am surprised that they could sink so low, and I'm glad that I'm surprised by it, so it makes me cover it with a sense of this is not the way things should be, this is not how we engage civically, and it's all meant as a heinous jazz hands to issues we should be talking about, important issues.
