Tracey Follows explores how perspective agents, historically filled by journalists and doctors, are shifting as AI takes on that role. The future won't replace these human roles but create a dance between human judgment and machine capability.

Give us the definition. What is a perspective agent? A perspective agent is a source that helps you see the world in ways you couldn't otherwise. What is a historical perspective agent? I mean, Tracey, it's people like you, you know, I guess people like me, journalists, authors, research teams, doctors, politicians. It's historically been a human form, and we've historically done a lot of the hard work to try to make sense of things, to help people either learn new things or, you know, think about buying new things or making the right decisions about things. And increasingly, I think that responsibility is going to be balanced by software, you know, AIs that can help us see things, explore things, figure things out, solve things. And so the notion of what's a prospective agent kind of fits into some of the bigger questions around kind of this human-machine dance that we're going to be in the middle of for the foreseeable future.
