I think that this is how artificial intelligence will come to live amongst us. I think more so maybe than machines and robots and social robots, which is what we hear a lot of, particularly in the press and in the media. I wonder if it's these characters, because we are drawn to and have a more human connection, weirdly, to these characters. And so we can invite them into our lives to live alongside us. And potentially, I would say, to be part of the family. This is a quote from Edward Saatchi at Fable, who have created this character Lucy. I think he hits the nail on the head when he says, "Characters that you know aren't real, but with whom you can build a two-way relationship. We could watch movies with them, play games with them, and also follow their lives on Facebook and Instagram and YouTube." And that's a little bit like falling into the story of little Michaela in social media. It doesn't really matter whether she's real or not real. They're characters we live alongside in our real lives.
