If you have a 1099 and you're getting frustrated because they don't seem bought in, they don't seem to have the same level of dedication. They're not like, really subscribed to the mission. My challenge to you is why should they be? If you're not willing to go that extra couple of steps, handle their payroll taxes and treat them like an employee and really show that you're invested in them. Don't get frustrated when they've got four other clients and they're splitting their time kind of across the board. If you want them to be invested in you and your vision and your mission and your business and your clients, invest in them. Otherwise, don't get your feelings hurt when they're doing four different things.
