Edward starts his morning at 5 am with TikTok and Borderlands, then heads to a lake where he performs a spiritual routine on a paddleboard: a "love dance" of eight repetitions spelling L-O-V-E with squats and jumps, followed by a "lake stretch" spelling L-A-K-E through seated positions.

Hello, I am Edward by the lake, and today I will tell you about my morning. Uh, I woke up around 5, watched a couple TikToks, and then brushed my teeth, went into the kitchen, put on my All In Zero shirt. Started the kettle, talked with Susanna, had a lovely morning, uh, and I made some blueberry tea. Susanna went to work, I went downstairs, played a little Borderlands. 4. Really enjoying that game. I am Vex the Siren. You know, semi-automatic assault rifles, sniper rifles. I got a legendary submachine gun. Lots of fun. And I did that until about 6:30 when the sun started to rise. Once the sun was rising, I went outside, watched TikToks while I vaped my first wee back, all while enjoying my tea. Tea. Um, and then I watched TikToks until about 7. At 7, I walked down to the lake where I currently am. Sat on the Mastercraft ProStar. Uh, I've left it open since Sunday because I went water skiing with the family. Wonderful. I love water skiing. It is My favorite activity. I could do it forever. Um. You know, that just got me thinking. In school, I always struggled with knowing what to write about, but I could always write an essay about water skiing. There must be like 4 or 5 that I can— having— I can remember writing. I can remember having written, I think, is where I was trying to go. So it's nice that, you know, I can share that. Um, yeah, so then I came down to the lake. I did a good morning ladder, uh, I did good morning, Lord, sitting down, starting. So G and O were sitting. At the second O, I stood up. G-O-O-D. At the second O, I stood up. So D. And then M-O-R-N-I-N-G. Good morning, Lord. L-O-R-D. I did Lord first because, uh, you know, it's like the Lord is supposed to come first. That's the whole point, put the Lord first, then you know you're always following him. Um, Yeah, and then I did good morning, love. G-O, on the second O I went down. D-good, M-O-R-N-I-N-G, morning, L-O-V-E. So I did that because On the second O, I needed to find a way to change positions, and I decided that since your legs have a sitting and standing position, that is a good way to get two letters. Um, so I did those sitting on the back of the boat. See if I can— no, I don't think I can. Um, so that's sitting on the back of the boat. I really enjoyed that. It was interesting because the back of the boat goes— I'll show you. So if you'll see the back of the boat, that swim platform there, it's just wide enough for me to be able to sit on and then my legs dangle off. So while I was doing my flying or my, uh, Flying crosses over the water. My legs were dangling, which kind of helped in some ways, but also added a challenge and a risk of dumping myself into the water. So that was exciting. And then I took the stand-up paddleboard. And I went out on the lake and I did, uh, 8 reps of the love power sign. So that's L-O-V-E, but then also with my legs. So when you're doing the love power sign standing up, you just have— it's like a neutral standing position. Then O is a deep squat. V is you're jumping up so that your legs are straight and you're on your toes. And then E is another deep squat. So it's very similar to a burpee movement, um, or just air squats. So each LOVE, each LOVE rep, L-O-V-E, is equivalent to about about 2 squats, a little more because there's also a calf raise thrown in there. So it's essentially squat, calf raise, squat, um, while like pushing your arms forward, up, forward, back, and creating that circle. Um, and so I did 8 of those standing in the lake on the stand-up paddleboard. It was really interesting to practice standing on my toes on the stand-up paddleboard. That's something that is a definite frontier for me. Standing on my toes and standing on one leg on the stand-up paddleboard are probably the largest frontiers. I'm pretty good at standing in most positions. I guess it's been a while since I've tried to stand warrior or do a lunge. I should check that out. Um, but then I also signed lake in its seated position, and so if I'd done lake standing— A has a warrior 1 position And so I could have, I could have done that test today if I had stood up, but I think the reps of Love standing up really exhausted me a bit. And also I wanted to make sure that I wanted to make sure that I could do equal parts standing and sitting. And also the love, love, love dance. Like when I go through a series of standing positions, I call it a dance. So the love dance, I did 8 reps of the love dance standing on the stand-up paddleboard. Um, And so then when I did that, that kind of feels like, like you're charging yourself up, you know, like really getting the blood flowing. You're doing a lot of breathing, you know, you can kind of breathe in sync. O-B-E, O-B-E, O-B-E. E, L-O-D-E. Um, so you kind of like can do breaths, so you can do O-V-E, or you can do L-O-V-E. Um, so like you're breathing fast, you're moving your muscles quickly, you're exhausting them, you're really like energizing yourself, you know. Um, and then when you do the stretch, it's kind of the release. So in the biathlon or duathlon, where they cross-country ski and they do target practice, the actual— the skill in that is in being able to elevate and reduce your heart rate in the most effective manner, because you need to elevate to cross-country ski, but you need to be at a reduced, very calm state while you're skeet shooting, or not skeet shooting, doing target shooting. And so in that same way, the dance followed by the stretch is the cross-country skiing is the dance, and then the skeet shooting is the stretch. And so then I did a stretch of Lake. L is L to your chest. On the legs, It is a loose right over left cross, um, like crossing. Uh, the specifics are your left foot must touch the ground and your right foot must touch your left calf. However you can do that, that is up to you. So that's the L. And then an A is a baby. Position. So that is your left heel touching your left hip bone, your calf touching your hamstring, sitting on that leg. And then your right heel and your right foot heel and toe is touching the ground on the left side of your left leg. So you are kind of arching your right leg over your left leg. So that's the A. And then K and E are flying crosses, uh, a left flying cross. So that is your left foot touching your right thigh and then your right foot touching your left thigh. So you cross the left on top and then you bring the right over, um, and that's for both the K and E. So then I held that sitting on the stand-up paddleboard. Um, I didn't count it. I don't— yeah, you kind of just got to feel that one out. It's generally to exhaustion for my legs. Sometimes you Yeah, no, it's generally too exhausting for my legs. Or like the level of exhaustion I'm comfortable with. I didn't go to 100%. I went to like, probably I wanted to hit a good 70% exhaustion in each position. So I held it until I felt like I had reached that threshold. I think if you wanted to count, I like to count to 8, 8 breaths. You can even start at 4 or 2 if you're really still trying to balance or learn it. But 8 breaths is where I, uh, it's where I try to start, and then I can increment either to 16 or to 12. Um, yeah. So then after I did the love dance and the lake stretch on the stand-up paddleboard, I came back and finished off my second wee back and recorded this video. Thank you so much for joining me, and I hope you have a good day. God bless.
