I just got off a call with a potential client. He told me, I'm so frustrated, Tim. It's because, you know, my wife doesn't want to work on herself. She doesn't want to self-improve. And see, I told him, I said, well, what do you expect? Your wife doesn't want to work on herself because she's waiting for you to take the initiative. She's waiting for you to take the lead in that process. You're supposed to be a living inspiration to your wife. You're the catalyst to your wife's change. A lot of times you initiate that momentum because because she observes and watches you take the lead. She watches you, right, ignite the fire within yourself and become purpose-driven. And when she's around that purpose-driven man who has passion, right, where he's inspired, he's invigorated by life, he wakes up with the energy of optimism and positivity, ready to attack the day. She's inspired by that. She's uplifted by that. She's encouraged by that. She's motivated by that because she sees that man giving himself his best, which in turn he's able to give his family his best, his wife his best. And as a result of that, you're carving out the path for them, brother. You're called to be a pioneer. You're called to be a leader and not a follower. So why are you waiting for your wife to pioneer a path that you should be carving out? Are you going to continue to wait for your wife to take the initiative to improve herself? Is that what you need to know if this relationship is right for you? If your wife is willing to work on herself? And that's why marriage and family therapy— so many people get stuck there because they're waiting for both parties to be in a position where they're ready to invest. Let me tell you right now, it takes one person. It It takes one person to ignite the change, one person to spark the inspiration, the motivation, the determination, the perseverance that another person may need. Because some people don't need you to preach a sermon, they need to see you live one. They need to see you live that life out. Be an example. Show them what is possible. Maybe she's just waiting waiting for you to do that.
