The speaker presents a monologue about identity transformation and the “Inside Out Method,” arguing that personal change must start internally—forging new neural pathways, developing character virtues, skills, and multidimensional leadership—to unlock opportunities in work, relationships, and life. The excerpt focuses on self-innovation, internal work versus external fixes, and becoming the person who can achieve desired outcomes (last edited 2026-04-23).

It's time to shift your identity. Breaking through to the other side requires you to become somebody new first. It's who you need to be so that you can do what you need to do and have what you want to have. See, a lot of us, we get stuck in, you know, what I need to do so that I'll have and then hopefully I'll be when I get there. And you have it reversed. You have it backwards. The identity shift is who you need to become first, because when we shift our identity as somebody new, we open up the door of unlimited possibilities. Doors were closed, but when you work on yourself, when you understand to look within, that the path is within you, it's through the never-ending improvement of who you are as an individual. It's through self Self-innovation, this is the path. It's who do I need to become and why? What happens when I do that? When I start to pursue that path, what ends up happening? Well, I end up creating the character virtues, the insight, the assets, the skills, the abilities. And then guess what? That's a guy that people want to hire. That's a guy that people want to go into business with. That's a guy that people want to marry. That's a guy that people want to mend a relationship with. That's a guy that people want to put in a position of leadership. A guy that kids want to be their father and they're proud of when he comes and picks them up at school. It's who we need to become. When we shift our identity to become this new person, we unlock the possibility of things that seem to be out of reach. Before, you weren't capable of it because you weren't the person that you needed to be. So many people are looking into the external and they're grabbing on to things in the external, not realizing that the process It's always an inside job. That's why I created the Inside Out Method. The Inside Out Method is about fixing the inside, becoming who you need to become. It's about activating your new identity, redeeming your dignity, and experiencing your true power. By doing what? Forging new neural pathways, becoming somebody different. It's about examining the pain in your life, the problems in your life. It's about developing and establishing the skills that you need to become a multidimensional leader. And so much of the time we get stuck in this one-dimensional version of who we are, this identity. And then we look into the external trying to control everything outside of us, not understanding the fact that when you become somebody new, when you become somebody different, doors open, things change. So stop looking to the external and assuming the result you want is something outside of yourself. If you want to hide greatness from a person, just hide it within them, because most people spend their whole entire life searching for it outside of themselves, and they never truly find it.
