The only reason you procrastinate working on your marital issues is because of your ego and because you're embarrassed. It's because of your ego and because you're embarrassed. Because you solve every other problem in every other area of your life, and you're the one that everybody comes to for answers to problems, yet you don't have the answers to the biggest problem in your life: your marriage, your mental and emotional health. And so your ego puts you in a position of, I can solve this problem, I have it figured out. But yet everybody in your life ironically is looking at you going, you don't have any answers because we're unhappy. And so your ego and your need to try to really prevent yourself from feeling any emotion, really shame, embarrassment, guilt, All of that you need to feel. You need to confront that, because revealing your feeling is the beginning to healing. That's when you actually begin to heal. Vulnerability is the portal to your new life, and vulnerability will mold you into Iron Man. When you finally acknowledge and admit where you're at and that you can't fix it, there's a humility in that, but there's power in that too. There's power in that too, as I realize that if I just get connected to the right people in my life life that I could literally solve this and I could put it all behind me and I could have the life that I want and the life that I deserve and the life that the people in my life that love me deserve. But yet I don't take the action. I just procrastinate it. I put it off again. And I think that because I'm putting it off, that people don't have a breaking point. Look around at your life. You don't see that your family has been the collateral damage to your procrastination of working on these issues? You can't see that your kids have been struggling? Your kids should never have to watch you and your wife continue to argue, bicker, and continue for you to not be able to manage your own emotions in that home. You're called to lead. You're not called to react like a child. Let me ask you, emotional maturity— is there anything mature about suppressing how you feel? Is there anything mature about you burying how you feel? Is there anything mature about you always needing to be right? No, there's not. So when you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see something that you're proud of? Do you see a man that you admire? Do you see a man that you look up to? Do you see a man that you respect? Because if you don't, then how much longer are you going to wait to change? Do you want this condition in your life that's happening right now to last until you die? Think about that. So this is going to go on until you die. Would you want that? And if you wouldn't, then what are you willing to do to change?
