Every day we're creating consequences in our life. We create internal consequences and external consequences, and we create these consequences based on our own beliefs. See, your actions are going to be determined by the things that you believe. Your emotional state is going to be determined by the things that you believe. How often do you build awareness about your triggers? How often do you explore your beliefs about those triggers? And how often do you examine the consequences that those beliefs about those triggers create? Because the real change in our lives happens when we create enough awareness on our life to see the power and the ability to choose different beliefs and get honest with ourselves about what's really coming up. It's so easy for us to, to point the finger into the external environment and blame the external environment about why we feel the way we do, when in reality, a majority of the time, the internal consequences that we feel are created by the beliefs that we have. And we have to learn how to challenge these beliefs, how to question our own thinking, how to think about what we're thinking about, how to step out of our own subjective experience and really ask ourselves, is the way that I'm thinking about this helpful? Is there any other way of thinking about this? Is it accurate? Is it useful? Is Is there evidence to support it? And then once we learn how to really challenge our beliefs, we can create new consequences in our life. And those new consequences can lead us into a position of what? The behaviors, the emotions, the experiences that we want to have. But see, it all starts within us. So if you're feeling some type of distress in your life, stop trying to change the external, because we can't change people, places, and things. You can influence those things at best. The only real thing that you have true control over is how you think, and you're the only thinker in there. It's your mind. Start challenging what you're believing and recognize how this in here— the real battle is in here. You're creating consequences in your life every day based on what you're believing about what you're seeing. Learn to master this and you'll find true power.
