Tim talks to someone trapped in suicidal darkness, arguing that what really scares us is our own light: faith, purpose, the greatness we're capable of. He's been there himself. The way out is community, self-investment, and letting people help you.

I just got off a call with one of my newest clients and he tells me, Tim, I don't want to be in a dark place anymore. And I know what it's like to be in that dark place. You don't want to be in the dark place anymore. You lived in the dark for so long. You see, darkness can't drive out darkness. Only light can do that. So much of your light, your greatness, your shine. You don't believe in it. You forgot it. You don't want to be in that dark place, the loneliness, the desperation, even so much to the extent that you have the suicidal ideations. Why? Because it gives you a little temporary relief. Even just the thought of not being here gives you relief. And brother, I've been there. I know what that's like. But you're here. You're breathing. You still have opportunity. The opportunity to change your life, the opportunity to invest in yourself, the opportunity to redeem what was lost. See, you're special because God put a call on you. That's why he gave you everything he gave you. That's why you have that beautiful wife. That's why you have those beautiful kids. That's why you have that amazing business. You're not a failure. It's not too late for you. Stop dwelling on the problem. There's a lot of light in the darkness, man. There's a lot to learn. There's a lot of places we can grow. There's a lot we can discover about who we are, about what led us to where we're at, about what stopped us from becoming who we needed to be, about what prevented us from connecting with the people that we love. There's so much to learn, but you got to be open to that growth. So many times we're stuck in the dark and we can't see that light at the end of the tunnel. I know because I've been there. And that's a place sometimes in our life that can feel lonely. We can feel lost. We can feel disconnected. We can feel like nobody understands and nobody knows. But I do. And the guys in my program do. We're on that journey, brother. Let us support you. Let us help you. Let us, let us walk this path with you. Let us fight next to you. Let us fight alongside of you. You need the brotherhood. You need the camaraderie. Iron sharpens iron. One man sharpens the countenance of another. You don't reach out for help because you never have. You've never reached out, brother. There's nothing mature about suppressing what's going on with you. There's nothing mature about being in denial. The most powerful thing you could ever do as a man is reach out for That's empowering. That's liberating. That's you taking a step towards change. And that can be the hardest thing you've ever done, but it can be the moment in your life that everything changes, everything shifts. You don't have to stay in a dark place. It's time. It's time. And we're waiting for you. The door is open, brother. The door is open. The door is always open for you. Because you're one of us.
