The speaker argues we should stop calling difficult things hard and start calling them new. Once you understand how change works through neuroplasticity, you can rewire your brain by repeatedly practicing a skill, turning abstract goals into real results.

Just got out of a group call with all of our clients and a brand new client who just came on today. She said to me, for the first time in a long time, I have hope. Today this group really showed me, number one, that I'm not alone. Number two, right, it made me feel empowered by the sense that I can change. And that's why I tell you guys all the time, knowledge is power. Knowledge is power because what Once we understand the process of how to change and the steps to actually get there, we can start to see how tangible this change is for us. And this sparks a divine sense of hope and inspiration, passion. It lights us up again to let us know, right, that we can do this, that the change is not something out in the ethereal world, right? It's actually physical. It's the process of what we call neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change over time. Neurons that fire together wire together. It's like learning a new instrument, right? Everybody in the beginning, right, they struggle to learn that instrument. But over time, what you develop is what's called muscle memory. The more that you repeat it— that's why you guys got to know that what's most important with that knowledge is what you choose to do with it in terms of retaining the information, remembering the information, recalling the information, and repeating that process of retention and recollection. See, all the time What do you hear people say in the very beginning? This is so hard. This is so hard. It's hard because you don't have the neural connections there. So my question is, is it hard or is it new? Let's stop saying that it's hard and let's start saying that it's new. Let's redefine the way that we look at changing, right? The reason that it's difficult, right? The reason that it poses resistance is because you're not used to it. You're stuck in the habit. You got to break the habit of being yourself.
