Overcoming Victim Mentality

Tim Arrigo and Speaker B argue that victim mentality keeps you stuck in desperation and powerlessness. They say the only barrier is the story you tell yourself, and you can rewrite it by taking concrete action and embracing adversity as motivation for a comeback.
Chapters
Brother, you're slowly killing a good thing. If you don't make the necessary changes that you need to make in your life, you're gonna slowly kill everything in your life that held meaning and value to you. And I know what it's like to be in a state of desperation, hopelessness, powerlessness, worthlessness. I know what that feels like. But you can't live there. You can't stay there. You can't remain there. If you're not dead, then God's not done. He's not done with you. He's not done writing that story.
You got to pick up the pen and start writing that final chapter. Write those final chapters. You got to get out of your victim mindset. You got to stop assuming there isn't solutions to where you're at. You're watching this right now, right? This is a sign. But see, every single time God throws you a life raft, a life preserver, you keep saying, oh, that's not the right thing, or, oh, that won't work.
So the reality here is Most of this is a byproduct of your mindset at this point, bro.
You can't stay in this victimhood. You can't stay in this victim mentality.
And you know what the greatest thing is, man? A comeback story.
When you rise out of the ashes to take the form of something new. And God's always doing new things in old people. So why are you waiting? Why are you hesitating? Why are you negotiating? Why are you bargaining with a brighter tomorrow?
Your situation, man, I know it's bad.
I know it's dark, and I've been there. But there's a lot of light in the darkness. There's a lot of gold in there. There's silver lining in there. There's things for you to pull from. And the only way to use this darkness is to use it as motivation to push you through. You got to take that and put it somewhere. Don't be held down by the pain in your life. Be moved and inspired by what you can do with it. So many people out there, they don't need you to preach a sermon.
They need to see you live one.
And so many people are waiting and they're sitting back and they're waiting for you.
They're waiting for you.
You can be the example that people need to see in their life.
And bro, there's absolutely no reason why you can't achieve what you want, why you can't feel the way you want, why you can't think the way you want, why you can't be who you wanna be. The only reason is the story that you tell yourself about why you can't have it.
So you need to change the story that you're telling yourself.
The struggles of your today will be the strength of your tomorrow. But see, that's a choice. That's a choice about the way you look at the adversity you're going through.
That's a choice about the way that you're looking at these situations. Stop being so externally focused.
Sometimes God has to take you to the darkest valley before he takes you to the brightest mountain. And you know what? Are you willing to go there if you know that it'll all be worth it? Are you willing to walk through this darkness right now if you know in the end that it'll get you to where you want to go? That's my question for you.
