The world teaches you to live your life from the outside in, that if you live your life from the outside in, that's what's going to make you happy. That's what's going to fulfill you. That's what's going to bring you peace. That's what's going to bring you joy. And so there's lies that we believe that coincide with living life this way. Some examples: pursuing pleasure. If it feels good, do it. Hey, don't look at the past. Hey, don't look at that stuff. Hey, come on, get over it, move past it. Numb it, man. Just numb it. Just forget about it. Surface-level success. Just look the part. Just fake it till you make it. Just look it. Just pretend like you're— hey, just show up like you are, like you already got it together, like you got it figured out. Sleep when you're dead. Stop saying that, bro, because if you don't sleep, you're gonna be dead, right? You need good rest, right? That's a part of how we love ourselves and take care of ourselves.
