The most dangerous place a man can ever be is in a state of apathy. See, a lot of times we think that our apathy is a power move when really it's just a reaction. Like, I don't care. Well, I don't really care about it. And then we put on this mask of indifference thinking that somehow, right, that's a powerful position to be. But your apathy is dangerous to everybody around you because I can tell you from experience When I got into that mindset of I don't really care, what happened? I created more of the same experience in my life. More pain for people around me, more self-destruction that only hurt me. And in the middle of a loss of a relationship, in the middle of a divorce, in the middle of trying to reconcile, in the middle of trying to drop my addictions, my self-destructive behavior, right? All the things I'm trying to change about me, I cannot do that in a state of apathy. I gotta connect to it. Your apathy is deflection. Acting like it doesn't bother you, acting like you don't care, is a facade. It's a subterfuge. It's an illusion that you try to create to do what? Protect yourself from the pain that it really causes you. Bro, your apathy is dangerous. Your apathy is like a loaded gun without the safety on, and it's got your finger on the trigger. Ready to pull it at any moment. Your apathy puts you in a position where you can't connect to what you need to do and what you need to feel in order to become who you need to be. You got to step out of apathy. You got to drop the mask. You got to connect to it. And sometimes that means, right, that you got to feel the pain, and it's got to bring you to your knees in a state where you have, right, a deep sobbing, weeping cry where you really mourn right? The loss of yourself, the loss of what you are facing right now. But if you're not willing to feel it, then somebody else is. Because if you don't face it and you continue to deflect in the indifference, I could tell you from experience, the way that you run and hide, the way that you escape into whatever you do, is only going to hurt other people, man. And I know, I know You're not that guy. I know you're not some vindictive guy who just wants to hurt people. That ain't you. But see, you got to step back and recognize that your power is not found in apathy. Apathy is not a move of power. Indifference is not a power move. It actually puts you in a position of inadequacy. It puts you in a position of powerlessness, helplessness, brokenness. It makes you confused and lost. It makes you disconnected. Stop acting like you don't care. Stop acting oblivious. You're not. You're way smarter than that. But see, this first step to this process is you gotta feel it. You gotta connect to it. See, there's two kinds of pain. There's pain that breaks you, and there's pain that changes you. But you get to make the decision about what you want to do with that pain only, only when you connect to it first.
