Chapters
The main reason that you don't grow is because you don't want to be challenged, but you need to learn to be challenged, especially by the people that love you. You hear it as an attack when other people hear it as a scream for accountability. You're in this position. Why would you want to be with somebody that doesn't want the best from you? Why would you want to be with somebody that doesn't want you to be living at your full potential? Why would you want to be with somebody that accepts mediocrity from you? Well, only because you yourself don't want to be challenging yourself. You don't want to be in a constant state of progression and growth. You'd rather live in the comfort zone. You'd rather live in this space of complacency in your life. The gray area, the land of ambiguity. This is where you'd rather live your life because you don't want to be challenged. And so anytime you're challenged, you get defensive. And what is your defensiveness about? You only get defensive because you have something to defend. And that's the fact that you know in your heart that you're not living up to your full potential. You know this. How many more years of your life are you going to go on existing and not living? Are you going to go on not tapping into what you know you have inside of you? And then continuing to make excuses and deflect anytime it happens. And then what happens? You project. You see other people who are living in this— why would you have the need to talk down on other people? Only people with— see, only people with low self-esteem have the need to do that. So you're transparent. You're really revealing how you really feel about yourself. Don't be mad at the world because you're not living out your full potential. Don't be mad at the world because you gave up on you. Don't be mad at the people that love you because they have it.
