If my wife changes, then I'll make the changes that I need to make. But the problem with that is that leaders go first. Leaders are the first in the breach. Leaders are the first to take action. Leaders take the initiative. Sometimes in our life, we're waiting for things on the external to change, and we're not realizing that in wait, we're actually making an excuse, and we're living in denial, and we're procrastinating the decision that we need to make today to change the actions, the mindset, and the way that we're handling our current situation in our marriage. As the man, you are instructed by God to take action, to take the initiative, to take on your God-given right to be empowered. Sitting in the corner in the fetal position, not taking action, making excuses about why I'm not taking action, and then believing the lies that I'm telling myself about it. Is how we stay defeated. The devil's first name is tomorrow. Oh, I'll do it tomorrow. If my wife changes, then I'll change. But you need to be the first one in the breach. You need to be kicking down the door to save your marriage. You need to be the first one to cross the line, because guess what? That's called leadership. Leaders, they're the ones who carve out the path. They're the ones who become pioneers. Are you a pioneer, or do you want to follow your wife? Are you a pioneer, or do you want to follow your wife? Because waiting for your wife to take the initiative to do the work that you already know you need to do is really just you making an excuse and putting off the work that you know you need to do today for another time. There's no more time. See, the thing about time is, see, you can use it, but you can never own it. And once it's spent, it's gone. So why are you still waiting?
